Notes brand slogan

Notes - notes.io

service account:
It is a special kind of account which is used by an application or compute engine instance rather than a human to enable communication between various applications,systems or services.
log explorer:
it is used to find and view the logs so that if we get any issues we can solve that.

gcloud:
this command is used to interact with gcp products
gsutil:
this command is used to interact with google cloud storage

load balancer:
A load balancer distributes user traffic across multiple instances of your applications. By spreading the load, load balancing reduces the risk that your applications experience performance issues.

how to acheive gaols for fmr:
1.thanking the customer for reaching out to us
2.acknowledge and restate the issue to the customer
3.show empathy when the situation calls for it
4.confirm business impact
5.share the investigation results and asks for additional troubleshooting information if necessary
6.explain the next steps to the customer
7.set the correct expectations for follow ups if there is no action pending on the customer

Cloud computing:
cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.

benefits of cloud computing:
1.high availability:it is done by SLA(service level agreement)
2.scalability:
vertical scaling:it increases or decreases the availability
horizantal scaling:add or subtracts the availability
3.reliability:
4.predictability:
performance:
cost:

cloud service types:
1.Infrastructure as a service(iaas): IaaS places the most responsibility on the consumer, with the cloud provider being responsible for the basics
of physical security, power, and connectivity.
2.platform as a service(paas): SaaS places most of the responsibility with the cloud provider
3.software as a service(saas):PaaS, being a middle ground between IaaS and SaaS, rests somewhere in the middle and evenly distributes responsibility
between the cloud provider and the consumer.

cloud models:
*The cloud models define the deployment type of cloud resources.
*The three main cloud models are: private, public, and hybrid.
different types of cloud:
1.private cloud:it is accesssible to particular public who has access
2.public cloud:it is accessible to public.
3.hybrid cloud:mix of private and public cloud

Regions:(independent geographical area)
Hosting the application in different regions around the world makes the performance of the application better.even if the application crashes for some reason in one region the user can access it from another region.

Zones:(datacenter in region)
Hosting the application in different zones in a region makes high availability of the application to the end user.

compute engine:
it is used to create,manage and provision the vm

cloud shell:
Cloud Shell provides you with command-line access to computing resources hosted on Google Cloud.

SME:subject matter expert-->a person with high knowledge on a specific feild
pfi tag:product,feature,issues

*In compute engine we can create a virtual private cloud.compute engine will create a default vpc.if we want we can create a custom vpc too.

IP address:
two types:static and ephemeral Ip addresses
*ephemeral ip address is like dynamic.whenever the compute engine restarts,the ip address will change.so we can't rely on that ip address then we have static ip address for rescue which is always constant in nature.

*we can connect with the google cloud in few different ways:
-->google standard account
-->google groups-- these are nothing but a collection of Google account.So rather than assigning role to individual user, you can provide a role to the group and all those role will be applied to every single user who is a part of this group.
-->service account--it is mainly used when application wants to communicate with another application.
-->workspace
-->cloud identify domain

service account:
it is not for humans..it is for non human.
it is used when an application wants to communcate with another application.

app engine:
it is serverless product which allows developers to deploy their application without worrying about the infrastructure.

cloud function:
It is serverless product inside the Google Cloud platform.So mainly people use the cloud function when you want to execute some very small tasks or very small workload, you want to deploy it like a you can deploy your code as a one single function.And this function you can trigger via different methods like Http or let's say via some pub sub topic or when you upload some file inside the Google cloud storage we are going to see via Http.

FMR(first meaningful response)
INCRUP(incremental update)
TSR(Technical support representative)
TSE(Technical support executive)--->google team
PE(product engineer)
SME(subject mater expert)
OMG(outage moment at google)

cloud storage:
it is the storage where you can dump anything unstructured data storage solution available inside the Google Cloud platform.You can store here any kind of data like image data, video data, binary files, zip file, you name it, anything you can simply store it and via Http rest API, you can simply access it.

case consult:
tsr-->sme-->tse-->pe

networking:
ports:
http-->80
smtp-->25
FTP-->20/21

netstat-n:it is used to see the list of the active connections for a particular website.

ip addresses:
it is a unique identifier for individual computer.
ipv4:it is 32bit
ex:192.168.32.152-->each contains 8bit-->the value should be between 0-255
ipconfig-->this command is used to know our ip address

google cloud:
it contains 200+ services
region:independent geographical location

vpc:it is like a virtual version of a physical network which provides connection between the gcp products.

compute engine machine types:
e2:general purpose
c2:compute optimized
m1:memory optimized
metabug:to create bugs
case notes:we can document the case like the responses we get and the msg we sent
