The three tenants have decided to withhold property rent, starting on the first of May. This is due to a number of issues present in the property that we've brought to Dowling Property's attention multiple times. Some of these issues were brought up during our initial move-in inspection and still haven't been addressed. Of the times when hired help came, they were inconsistent with their arrival and the process dragged on and wasted our time more often than not.
The property lacks a proper fire alarm and an up-to-date fire extinguisher. The mold present in multiple areas of the house must be replaced or otherwise addressed to limit this health hazard. The ventilation in the central bathroom doesn't turn on, increasing the risk of mold development. The garage was a mess and has to be properly cleaned due to the accumulated dust/soot worsening the air quality and irritating my asthma. The garage and refrigerator are in need of replacement lightbulbs. Lastly, our doors are still damaged from the previous tenant and have yet to be replaced.
We are extremely upset with this type of unprofessional conduct. Reviews of Dowling Properties have similar complaints to ours and shows a lack of growth and responsibility, most of all respect. People have to live in the properties you manage and your repeated lack of attentiveness has to be met with proper measures. Skylar Higgins, Jhan Rodriguez, and Aaron Woodruff, the three tenants of 2912 Albany Ave, are withholding our property rent until these issues are properly addressed.
