This study examines the relationship between mental health issues and academic performance among selected grade 10 students of Mayamot National High School. According to the study's statistical analysis, there is a relationship between mental health issues and academic performance among selected grade 10 students. Data also presented that students' mental health issues highly affects their academic performance.
The researchers conduct this research to determine the number of students who are struggling with their academic performance due to mental health issues, and a survey is used to collect information from respondents about this specific topic. The study can help by providing suggestions and demonstrating the possibility of creating or developing programs that will address the difficulties of failing in various activities related to academic performance. As an example of this program, we may have a weekly symposium to emphasize the importance of mental health care among students.

Based on the researchers findings, the following are the drawn conclusions:

1. The researchers conclude that the examples of the reason why students are struggling academically is because of their mental health or family problems distracting them resulting in poor academic performance.
2. The researchers conclude that there is a correlation between the students mental health and academic performance. It may not be that evident to others, but the majority is affected by it.
3. The researchers conclude that other grade 10 students feels pressure resulting to poor mental health because they believe that their academic performance defies who they are.


The researchers recommendation to students is to learn to take a break when your getting pressured or having mental health issues. Seek help from professionals and your parents. Learn to take things slowly and have a time management in order to not get overwhelmed.

The researchers recommendation for the school is to have a routine mental health check up to students, help students build connection with one another, teach students to not be afraid to ask for help about mental health issues.

-The researches recommends for peers to always check up on their friends, even if it's not that often, help them with their problems and sometimes bondings outside can help them clear out their minds with negative things, distance themselves with their problems once in a while and take in more positivity.

-The researchers suggestion for parents is to always consult your child about their mental health if they're facing issues with it. Being aware of your child's struggles is essential to knowing how you will respond and make a solution to them.

-The researchers recommendation for the future researchers is to employ the qualitative research approach; in this way they can have deeper and quality insights from their respondents. This is necessary, if you're topic is about mental health, which requires more depth and details.-The researchers suggestion for parents is to always consult your child about their mental health if they're facing issues with it. Being aware of your child's struggles is essential to knowing how you will respond and make a solution to them.
