Pressemitteilung des Rowan College at Gloucester County
Die Leichtathletikabteilung des Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) stand am 28. Juni in Washington, D.C. im Mittelpunkt. Die Roadrunners wurden zur insgesamt besten Leichtathletik ohne Stipendium gekürt Programm im Land durch die National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) ausgezeichnet.
„Dies ist eine der höchsten Auszeichnungen für ein Sportprogramm auf unserem Niveau“, kommentierte Brian Rowan, Sportdirektor von Roadrunner. „Wir sprechen oft davon, ein ausgewogenes Programm zu haben, und diese Art der Anerkennung zeigt, dass wir da sind. Es ist ein tolles Gefühl, den Pokal zurück zum RCGC zu bringen!“
RCGC erzielte die höchste Punktzahl im NATYCAA-Cup-Programm für nicht-stipendiatische Colleges der National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) und ließ damit ihre Konkurrenten hinter sich mit 153 Punkten. Insgesamt nahmen zehn der vierzehn Intercollegiate-Teams der Roadrunners an NJCAA-Nationalmeisterschaftsveranstaltungen teil und trugen Punkte zum Gesamtsieg der Roadrunners bei.
