if you dont love yourself then what is the point of making sacrfices for your life
or do I want to be a hedonistic asshole and create a mess for future you who will inherit life from current you.
If I was spawning into a random person's life, I would not care at all. But I get what he was getting at. Basically, we have to play life as a long game to set our future self up for success as much as possible because our future self has no choice but to inherit the life that they are left with.
