His father his elder, Elder T.E Oyakhilome of Benin City, was one among the first leaders of the Assemblies. His firstborn son, pastor Chris was certainly inspired by him. Growing up in a household that espouses a pure Christian message is a true blessing.

We can only imagine the joy his father must be feeling watching his son spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ being our Savior. The young Chris Oyakhilome was likely to have felt a tremendous influence from his father's efforts. He started his first crusade at the age of nine years old.
