The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button press. You can select the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.
www.robotvacuummops.com is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the hidden bin and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can need. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
