7 Simple Secrets To Totally Refreshing Your Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

There's a robot for all carpet types, regardless of whether it's high-pile or low-pile. These smart appliances automatically navigate through your home, pick up debris and even clean under furniture.

A lot of them come with advanced features, like mapping, which allows them to navigate around your home and keep track of furniture positioning. They also can increase the suction power in order to clean up surfaces that are dirtier.

iRobot Roomba 694"

The iRobot Roomba 694 is an entry-level robot vacuum that works well on carpets with low pile and bare floors. It is able to suction well, but struggles with larger debris like sand or grains of rice. It also does a good job of cleaning pet hair however it isn't impervious to tangling as top Roomba models such as the I6 or j7.

The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It features three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which launches a cleaning session, 'Dock,' which puts it in its charging station, and 'Spot,' which activates the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled with a smartphone app which lets you schedule and stop/start cycles, as well as alter settings. You can also pair it with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.

This vacuum is slower than other models, but it's still able to get into the most crevices and corners. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allow you to make the robot avoid certain areas or stop cleaning completely to stop it from getting stuck.

Although it's not the most efficient model in its price range, it's better than many other options. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694, with superior cleaning efficiency on carpets that are low and bare. It also follows an efficient cleaning route and has longer battery life. It also feels more durable and has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life and charges faster than the 694.

It's also worth taking a look at other, more premium models within the iRobot line, such as the 981 or the v7. They're more expensive, however they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both bare and low-pile floors, use the most efficient cleaning method and come with a larger dirt compartment, are quicker to charge, maneuver themselves more easily, and are easier to connect to smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robot does an okay job on hard floors and carpets with low pile. Its combo brush reaches into edges and corners, and it automatically boosts suction when it senses carpet. It also excels at cleaning dirt and debris that are embedded in mid-pile carpet. The IQ's small dock footprint and self-emptying feature are both nice features. However, if you want to change the floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones, you'll have manually reset it to do this, which is a bit of a hassle.

The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated features, but it isn't equipped with no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system allows for superior maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get caught on the tassels of the rug.

During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on floors that were not bare and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was less efficient with shag carpets, where it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. vacuum that cleans and mops did notice it was a little slower on floors that were not paved, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a more suitable option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin and a longer battery life and is better at navigating around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky mess. The iRobot, however, feels better constructed, has fewer components that need maintenance or replacement and has lower ongoing costs, and can even create virtual no go zones with its companion application. It can even restart cleaning from where it left off in case it is unable to recharge its battery prior to finishing the job. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is an advantage for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't among the most advanced models, but it provides excellent cleaning power for affordable prices. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. The robot can run for a long time and comes with an remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.

The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice stylistic contrast to Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more utilitarian and industrial.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up large particles and fine dust on hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean carpets with high and medium piles. It also has a tendency to bump into furniture and people in its path however, it's able detect obstacles with sensors. When it encounters them, it ceases to move and emits a loud beep so you can manually guide it around the obstacle and then get it back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is another great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust the suction force based on the floor type and the amount of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you want it to go.

If you don't have many furniture in the area you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will take 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the space it's assigned to.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning, which restricts the time spent in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range robot vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also impressive. It can pick up small particles such as rice with ease and it doesn't suffer from suction efficiency even as its dirt bin gets full. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body traps allergens and keeps your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA filter and self-emptying dustbin, so you don't need additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.

It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's great for tackling stains and deep cleaning. It comes with two cameras in front that deliver live feeds to your smartphone. It also has one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It also has a big dustbin, a long running time, and a fast clean-up that is free of bumps.

The Complete C1 is unlike most robots because it can switch between a standard head and a turbo head for various kinds of flooring. The turbo head is best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is good for bare floors and light rug. It also has an automatic height adjustment system, which allows it to easily adjust to different kinds of flooring without manual adjustments.

This model comes with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on hard floors and carpets of medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily maneuvered and reach difficult spots. It has five different adjustments to the surface and a switch that stops the brushroll to prevent hairs from getting tangled.

The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll and a UtraClean Mode that can clean the same area up to three times and a self-emptying bin that you can empty by pressing a button. The noise level is slightly higher than that of other models, but its powerful 1,200-watt motor as well as sturdy build make it worth the extra expense.

If you're willing to pay some extra money then the Miele Complete C3 canister robot vacuum is an excellent all-around robot vacuum. It performs better on carpets than the Classic C1. It is more efficient on all types of floors, feels more solidly built, and includes a HEPA filter.
