Counter Strike New Revealed

After weeks of rumors Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's an update for CS:GO that will bring the game onto the Source 2 engine and make some significant visual changes.

It also includes the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's made a lot armchair gamers crazy but it's actually an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New has a massive update that will alter the way smokes work in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, will be a game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and then move around objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting in the games, making them appear more real. In addition to these new features, smokes will be capable of interfacing with gameplay events that will provide new tactical opportunities. Bullets, for example, will push smoke in order to temporarily clear sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke obstruction.

The most significant change to smokes is that they will now be a more dynamic part of the game. In the past, smokes were a fixed form that was limited in how far they could be pushed and the amount of vision it blocked. Smokes of the new design will fill the space where they are placed and block more of a player's vision when they are there. This is a significant change that will make the game more exciting and will give both teams the same visibility.

Smokes will react to the light, weapons, and environment in the world space. This makes the smoke appear more real and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This will be especially useful during the chaotic matches that are expected to occur on every map.

Smokes are no longer one-way. This was a major problem in CSGO, since it allowed players to see the position of their opponents from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional, says the new system is an enormous improvement for competitive CS2 and will make it more fair for both teams.

Other minor changes include adjusting the position of smoke particles to prevent seeing through edges and changing the smoke overlay images to reflect their camera's position. Also, the expiration of smokes was updated to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade on the screen.

Loadouts

The players of CS:GO are able to alter their weapon choices prior to the start of every match. The updated loadout system lets players to select the weapons that best match their playstyle and team's strategy. The updated system adds new depth to the game as players must find a balance between power and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes several other improvements and changes in addition to the new loadouts. Most importantly, the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced with an adjustable grid that displays all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is populated with five pistols, five "mid-tier" weapons, such as submachine guns and shotguns and five carbines and rifles.

The new system will be easy to use and will give players greater control over the weapon they choose. It will allow them to choose the weapons that suit their style of play and team strategy the best, as well to experiment with various combinations. They can also compare their loadouts to other players and see how they compare.

While many players are pleased with the flexibility it offers, some have criticized it for deviating from the core essence of Counter-Strike. They have also raised concerns over how it will impact map-specific loadouts and skins for agents based on visibility.

In spite of these criticisms the new loadout method will be tested more extensively in the coming months. Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates. It is essential to keep up-to-date for more information.

In addition to the brand new CS: GO features, the update also comes with Workshop Tools which can be turned on in the game's settings menu. These tools allow community contributors to design weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. Additionally, the update will now live ban players who violate the rules of VAC during matches.

The new CS GO update is scheduled to be released later in the summer. Players can check out the complete list of features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site.

Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. The tiniest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player can have an impact on the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working hard to make sure that CS: GO is fluid and responsive. A new video highlights one of the biggest improvements under the hood, referred to as sub-tick updates.

Rather than a 64-tick update every millisecond, the CS: Go will now be able to utilize sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. The client will keep track of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will then transmit the updated game state back to players. The servers will know exactly when you fired a shot, jumped, or peeked.

The video doesn't go over everything. However it does state that every piece of data sent by the client has a date and time and that the server will gather all the data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be capable of sending twice as much data than 64-tick CS: GO.

This means that even if the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz it can still handle your commands instantly. The micro-tick updates also reduce input lag, making sure that the server reacts to your actions without glitches or delays.

It's evident that this is just the start of the technical enhancements Valve is making to the game. The company is working on dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment and is also updating all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. All CS weapons and cosmetics will also get a makeover using Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps, as well as a few classics that have been updated with facelifts. The updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of updates includes an upgrade and touchstone maps that will not see significant changes to gameplay, while other maps have been renovated or redesigned with the help of the new Source 2 Tools.

Overpass is one of the maps that has been reworked in order to make use of the new engine's unified light system. The map's eerie underground has been filled with daylight to make it more spacious and less overcrowded. Smoke grenades now expand dynamically in order to fill in spaces, and interact with the light.

Italy is a different map that has been revamped. Its texture, lighting, and structure have been greatly improved. The new version has a more balanced feel than the previous version, which was heavily CT focused. In the near future fans can expect to see classics like Aztec and Militia revamped.

These maps will not be added to the map pool for competitive play even though they're still playable. Train is the only exception, as it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. counter-strike cases hasn't yet announced if the other maps that were removed will be returned to the pool.

Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been deemed controversial. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions towards Ukraine. This map is based off of the war-torn Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna, and it contains a number of references to the conflict.

The developer will release a set Source 2 Tools for map makers in the near future. This will include features such as improved lighting and character reading, as well a physically-based rendering system which creates realistic materials and textures. It will also make real-world objects, like doors and windows, more simple to use. The update is scheduled to release sometime this summer.
