The Three Greatest Moments In Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet History
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

There's a robot that can be found for every carpet type, whether it's low-pile or high-pile. These intelligent appliances can navigate through your home, pick up dirt and clean under furniture.

They are equipped with advanced features, like mapping, which help them navigate through your home and help you remember the location of furniture. They can also boost suction power to tackle dirtier areas.

iRobot Roomba 694"

The Roomba 694 from iRobot is a robot vacuum for entry-level use that performs well on both carpets with low pile and bare floors. It has good suction and cleans up most debris, though it has trouble with larger particles like sand or rice. It does a good job cleaning pet hair, but is not as resistant to tangling as the premium Roomba models like the I6 and j7.

The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It has three buttons on its cover: 'Clean' starts a cleaning cycle, 'Dock' puts it back into its charging station, and 'Spot Clean' triggers the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via an app on your smartphone which lets you program or stop/start cycles as well as adjust settings. You can also connect the device to smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but it is able to get into the most crevices and corners. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It's compatible with digital maps and virtual barriers that let you set it to avoid specific areas or to stop completely cleaning if you want to keep it from getting stuck on something.

It's not the top in its price, but it's still better than the majority of other options. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with better cleaning efficiency on carpets with low and no pile. It also follows the most efficient cleaning method and has a longer battery life. It also feels better-made and has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life and charges more quickly than the 694.

You may also want to consider other models from the iRobot range, including the v7 and the 981. They're more expensive, but they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both low and bare floors. They also follow a more efficient cleaning route, have a bigger dirt compartment, are faster to charge, maneuver themselves more easily, and are much easier to pair with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does a great job on low-pile carpet and hard flooring. Its combination brush reaches corners and edges and automatically increases suction as soon as it spots carpet. It also does an excellent job of cleaning dirt on mid-pile carpet. The IQ has a tiny footprint and a self-emptying function. If you want to change the floor's levels or define zones that aren't allowed, you'll have to manually reset the map.

The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated features, however it lacks no-go zones. These are available only on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system allows for greater maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient however it can be stuck on rug tassels.

During our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove the majority of hair on floors that were unfinished, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less efficient with shag carpets. It had a hard time reaching dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved but it quickly recovered and performed better than other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge and is capable of getting over obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky mess. On the other side, the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning where it left off even if the battery runs out before it finishes. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice, which is a huge benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't among the most feature-rich models, but it does offer great cleaning power at an affordable price. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't require a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot will last for up to an hour. It includes the remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim, sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles brushed aluminum. mop & vacuum in one 's a nice departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

The eufy11S performed well in our tests of removing larger particles and fine dust from flooring. It was unable to thoroughly clean carpets with high and medium piles. It is also prone to bump into furniture and people in its path however, it's able detect these obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it ceases to move and emits an alarm so that you can manually steer it around the obstacle and get back to work.

Another great feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode that lets you set the robot to automatically adjust its suction strength to match the type of floor and the amount of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired place.

Single Room Mode is a great alternative if you have a small amount of furniture in the space you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend 30 minutes cleaning the area that it's assigned.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning which reduces the time spent in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner, cleaning corners and edges.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance is also exceptional on floors with no floor. It can pick up small particles like rice easily, and it doesn't lose suction efficiency even as its dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed and allergy-friendly design capture allergens, keeping your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin so you don't need any additional filters or a vacuum bag.

It's not as effective as more expensive models, but it's ideal for deep cleaning and taking on the toughest stains. Its two front cameras deliver live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it comes with one of the top obstacle avoidance systems we've ever seen. It also has a large dustbin, long runtime, and a fast and smooth clean-up.

The Complete C1 is unlike most robots because it can switch between two heads, a standard and a turbo head for various kinds of flooring. The turbo head works best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is suitable for bare floors and light rug. It also has an automatic height adjustment system that allows it to adapt to various types of flooring without manual adjustments.

This model is included with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on both carpets with a hard surface and carpets with a medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily moved around and get into difficult areas. It has five different surface adjustments and a brushroll-off switch to prevent hairs from getting tangled.

The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll as well as a UtraClean Mode that cleans the same area three times, and a self-emptying bin that you can empty by pressing a button. The noise level of this model is greater than other models. However its powerful motor of 1,200 watts and robust construction make it worth the extra cost.

If you're willing to pay some extra money then the Miele Complete C3 canister robot vacuum is an excellent all-around robot vacuum. It performs better on carpets than the Classic C1. It is better suited for all kinds of floors, is more solidly constructed, and comes with a HEPA filter.
