Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that allows you to bring pistols in to a mission. Some players use this to achieve certain goals, especially those going for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. When you use this slot, it's important to remember that you will need to click the appropriate pistol category button, for instance the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, to select the appropriate category. Slot for items being smuggled

The smuggled item slot is a great feature that lets players bring weapons and other tools into the game, but it can be improved. It's currently shaped as a pistol that makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled items slot from other slots in the gear.

The smuggle slot can be used to store a assortment of items, from concussion devices and explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items can be found in a variety of hidden locations around the map. They can be picked up at anytime. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in short-term missions that allow players to gain access to different starting points, smuggled items and gear slots prior to their entry into the map. As exciting slots advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for each difficulty.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will notice their gear slots rapidly get full, resulting in the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message, which blocks Max from selecting new equipment until old items are cleared or more space is obtained. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for completing challenges. Since a lot of these challenges can be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take some time to obtain the most inventory slots in the game.

A player's five Gear Slots can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency pick-ups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations allow you to store an item that does not fit into your weapon or gear slots and then retrieve it later.


These pickups are particularly useful if you need to go through a frisk at the end of the game or if you're carrying a weapon that might otherwise trigger suspicion. You can only conceal one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and purchase snacks and other items. Once you have reached the marker for your mission, identify a mob at the time you arrive.
