These planning options increase as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to create the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will rapidly fill up in the early stages of the game, which will result in the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until the old ones are removed or a larger space has been accumulated. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenge missions. Because many of these challenges are overlooked and are scattered around the globe, it could take some time to obtain the maximum number slots for inventory in the game.

Each player can have up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only has one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations let you keep items that aren't suitable in your concealed weapon or gear slot. You can get them back later.

These pickups are especially useful when you have to pass through a frisk later in the game or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise trigger suspicion. You can only conceal one item per game at a pickup location for agencies.

This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. To start these missions, simply talk to the receptionist of the agency and purchase armor and snacks. Then, go to the designated marker and identify a mob at the time of arrival.
