The Biggest Problem With Counter Strike New, And How To Fix It
Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's a major upgrade to CS:GO that will be bringing it on the Source 2 engine.

It also introduces sub-tick server updates and smoking grenades that are responsive. It's made a lot armchair gamers crazy however, it appears to be an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting a major update that will completely change the method of using smokes in the game. These changes, known as responsive smokes, will be a game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill spaces naturally and then move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting in the games, making them look more real. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be able to interact with events in the game and will offer new tactical possibilities. For example, bullets will force smoke to briefly make clear sightlines, while hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke obstruction.

Smokes are now more dynamic in the game. In the past, smokes were a fixed shape that was limited in how far they could travel and how much vision they blocked. The new smokes will fill the space they are located and hinder a player's vision when they are present. This is a major improvement that will make the game dynamic and will give both sides the same visibility.

In addition to this smokes will also react to the environment, weaponry, and lighting in the world space. This will make the smoke feel more real and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially useful in the chaotic 5v5 games which are bound to occur on every map.

Smokes won't be one-way, which was a significant issue in CS:GO, and allowed players to view their opponents' positions from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional, says the new system is an enormous improvement for players in competitive CS2 and makes it more fair for both teams.

Other minor enhancements include changing the vertical position of smoke particles to reduce the visibility of edges, and updating spectators smoke overlay images so that they correspond to their camera position. The expiration of smokes was adjusted to be in line with the visuals on the screen.

Loadouts

The CS:GO players are now able to alter their weapon selection prior to the start of every match. The new loadout system allows the players to choose weapons that fit their style of play and team's strategies. The updated system adds new depth to the game as players must balance firepower and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes a number other enhancements and changes in addition to the new loadouts. The buy menu was completely redesigned. The old buy wheel was replaced by an adjustable grid that displays all purchase options simultaneously. The grid has been populated with five pistols as well as five "mid-tier" weapons, such as submachine guns and shotguns as well as five rifles and carbines.

The new system is easy to use, and will give players greater control over the weapon they choose. It will let them choose the weapon that best fits their playstyle, team strategy and experiment with different combinations. They can also compare their loadouts with other players and observe how they stack up.

While many players are pleased with the added flexibility, others have been critical of it for straying from the essence of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern about the impact it will have on the loadouts for specific maps and agents' skins that are based on visibility.

In csgo cases of these criticisms the new loadout method will be tested more thoroughly in the coming months. It is possible that some of these issues may be addressed in future updates, so it is essential to stay tuned for more information.

Workshop Tools are included in the update, and can be turned on from the settings menu. This allows community members to create weapons finishes and stickers, as well as maps. The update will also live the players who are in violation of the VAC rules in matches.

The new CS GO update is scheduled to be released in the middle of summer. Players can check out the complete list of features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site.

Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. The smallest gap between a tick and a mouse click of a player could affect the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. A new video reveals the biggest improvements made to the game, referred to as sub tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick update every millisecond, CSGO is now able to use sub-ticks or, as Valve calls them, "micro ticks", to communicate with the servers. The client will record each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will send the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know exactly moment when you shot, jumped, peeked and other inputs.

While a one-minute video is not enough to fully explain everything the video explains that each piece of information sent by clients has a time stamp. The server will collect all the information from all players in chronological order prior to sending it back. According to the video it is believed that a CS: GO server will now be able to transmit more than twice the data as a 64-tick server.

This means that even when the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz, it will still be able handle your commands immediately. The micro-tick updates also reduce input lag, ensuring that the server responds to your actions without delays or glitches.

Valve's technical improvements to the game are only the beginning. The company is using dynamic smoke and particles to improve the way smoke interacts with its environment. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. All CS: GO weapons and cosmetics will also get a facelift with Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The new update coming to Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game, along with a few classics which are getting facelifts. The updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of maps comprises upgrade and touchstone maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, whereas others have been completely rebuilt or overhauled with the new Source 2 tools.

Among these, Overpass has been revamped to take advantage of the engine's new unified lighting system. The map's eerie underground has been filled with daylight, making it more spacious and less congested. Smoke grenades are now expanding dynamically in order to fill spaces, and interact with light.

Another map that's been reworked is Italy that has been given major changes to texture, lighting and structure. The new version has a more balanced and natural feel than its predecessor which was heavily CT focused. In the future fans can anticipate seeing classics like Aztec and Militia redesigned.

While a lot of these maps remain playable in other modes, they're no longer added to the competitive map pool. The only exception is Train, which has been removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps that were removed from the pool will be added back.

Among the more controversial updates is one designed by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions against Ukraine. This map is based on the war-ravaged Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna, and it contains a number of references to the conflict.

In the future the developer will be releasing a set of Source 2 tools for community map makers to make their own maps. This will include features like improved lighting and character reading, as well physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also allow for easier implementation of real-world items, such as windows and doors. The update will be released in the summer of this year.
