Were you not exposed to it all from birth and thereby bled it of its unfamiliarity. our world would unfold before us as a spectacle of endless wonder—a magician's sleight of hand, a feverish reverie, a trance populated by phantasms devoid of precedent or parallel, a nomadic carnival traversing vast expanses, its ultimate destination obscured by countless performances on countless muddy stages, leading inexorably to an indescribable and catastrophic denouement."
