Eine neue Leuchtreklame lässt Nachbarn fragen, was als nächstes für den Standort Bucktown/Wicker Park kommt.
BUCKTOWN – Was wird Silver Cloud ersetzen? Diese Frage beschäftigt neugierige Bewohner von Bucktown und Wicker Park schon seit der abrupten Schließung der Nachbarschaftsbar und des Lebensmittelladens im August 2014.
Zuletzt wurde ein neues rotes Schild angebracht, dessen Vorderseite durch eine schwarze Vinylabdeckung verdeckt wurde Woche über der Eingangstür des Gebäudes, 1700 N. Damen Ave.
Ein Mitarbeiter von Best Neon, der das Schild hergestellt hat, sagte, manchmal möchten Kunden, dass ein Schild angebracht wird, aber sie wollen nicht verraten, was es heißt noch. Im Moment ist es also ein Rätsel. Doch wie bei allen Mysterien gibt es Hinweise.
Aus den Aufzeichnungen des Landkreises geht hervor, dass im vergangenen Juli eine Geschäftslizenz für den „Tricycle Supper Club“ in der 1700 N. Damen Ave. ausgestellt wurde, etwa zur gleichen Zeit, als DNAinfo Umbauarbeiten bemerkte im Gange und die Entfernung des großen Neonschildes „Silver Cloud“. Der Besitzer des Tricycle Supper Club ist Rivak „Rocky“ Albazi, ehemaliger Miteigentümer von Silver Cloud.
