Find out the RTP of a game before you start. This number will tell you how many players could win over the long run.

Slot Efficiency

The objective of efficiency in slot machines is to maximize the amount of changes that can be made without violating a predefined set of constraints. These constraints include, for example the minimal operational delay (usually expressed as scheduling delays) fairness, equity access, competition environmental goals and many more. The process of allocation of slots is a complicated one and optimizing it to achieve the desired performance metrics requires careful analysis of the various factors at play.

The process begins by identifying the kinds of requests to prioritize based on precedents from the past. Once the type of request has been identified the slot allocation model is employed to reduce the delay criteria. Numerous research gaps have been discovered regarding the models for optimizing slot scheduling, particularly when trying to balance fairness and efficiency.

A popular method of prioritizing slot assignments is the ABC (assigned by velocity) strategy, which collects information on the history of an item and creates the velocity group. Items that have the highest speed are given the best slots in the warehouse, while items with slower speed are placed further back.

The distance factor is another key element in slot efficiency. It determines the amount of space needed to facilitate the pick-to-ship process. The measure considers the speed group, racking locations and the characteristics of handling equipment of the items.

To increase slot efficiency, it is also important to consider the cost of a given slot change. A quick look at a typical slot change can help managers determine the cost associated with the move, and the impact it could have on other aspects of slot efficiency, like velocity.

After one or two months proving the data and back-dating recommendations after which the casino began to use the software more frequently. The gaming operations team estimates that they will save 10-12 hours a month by using their traditional analysis, which doesn't include the time they spend reviewing the data rated by customers or developing and analyzing new, actionable strategies.

Utilizing the latest suggestions from SRE, the team was able to come up with numerous suggestions for game changes that increased player revenue. In particular, Dancing Drums Explosion and Twinstar Wave XL, both from Scientific Games, saw big increases in the premium lease and WAP rankings. The casino also was capable of shifting its budget from marketing to other costs and improve the floor's performance.

Perimeter Efficiency

We all know wide receivers tend score more touchdowns when they're able to hit the perimeter targets instead of slot targets. This is due to the fact that they are typically targeted downfield, and often are in one-on-one coverage. However, what may surprise some is that there's a different between the top five slot receivers and the rest in scoring on those targets that are located in the perimeter.

Of the wide receivers that have had at least 40 targets the past two seasons The top five slot scorers on perimeter routes were all speed receivers: Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, Tyler Lockett and Michael Gallup. The bottom of this list is dominated by receivers who are more possession-based, such as Chris Godwin and Diontae Johnston. The latter two are likely to see an increase in their targets this season if the Bucs move them into the slot more often however they'll need to improve their scoring on the perimeter to keep that high level.

The slot is the ideal option for wideouts that are quick, as they can open up more quickly when their route will not be covered by a linebacker or cornerback. Corey Coleman is the only wide receiver who isn't a speedy wideout, but could benefit from more slot work. He's a good player for intermediate and short routes.

Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and other receivers who are based on possession are at the low end of the list. They're better on intermediate and short routes, rather than deep areas. Jeudy, who will be the Rams principal slot receiver this season is a sleeper choice. Courtland Cooper and Amari Sutton are expected to play a larger role in downfield targets. Hamler is likely to perform well on intermediate and short-to middle routes, as that's what he excelled at in 2021 when he played for the Bills. Hamler could be a great replacement for the departed wideout Jordan Matthews in Buffalo.

Percentage of Snaps In Slot

The percentage of snaps that a receiver makes in the slot is an excellent indicator of their ability to play deep routes. It is not always a reliable indicator of a receiver's abilities since certain receivers are better in the slot, but they can't play more deep.

Alshon Jeffrey, as an example is the league leader in goals per game (4.8), but is only ranked 6th in the position that scores (58.5). This is due to the fact that the majority of his targets come from outside and it's hard to get a first down when playing a wide-open, deep route.

On the other hand, some receivers excel inside and aren't able to do much on the outside. For example, the Panthers handed Robby Anderson 978 snaps last season, and he ran a whopping 74% of his slot routes, compared to just 26% for boundary routes. This is an enormous distinction and demonstrates how much more productive Anderson is when aligned to the slot.

Furthermore, the Buccaneers' Chris Godwin lines up inside on most of his passing downs, and has a top five slot receiving score (58.5). He also played 51% his perimeter routes and is a master in one-on-one coverage.

Speed receivers are more efficient when they line up inside, since they are able to be targeted down the field and often find themselves with one-on-one coverage. This is why you'll see names like Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Amari Cooper on the top five spots of our list.

On the flip side we have some outstanding slot cornerbacks like McDuffie and Moore in this group. Both have been able create pressures in the pass game with McDuffie leading the NFL with seven forced fumbles. Moore having the highest tackle stop performance on this list (-3.5). By using McDuffie in the slot when they run nickel or dime-type packages, and then deploying him on the outside in base defense, Spagnuolo has maximized his abilities. In addition, Moore's ability to stop big run plays has been a huge asset when playing in the slot.

Percentage of Snaps Outside

While the NFL's top receivers such as Baldwin, Golden Tate and Larry Fitzgerald excel on the perimeter, it's important to note that their slot counterparts are just as excellent. Wide receivers who have a high slot grade score touchdowns in the same way as those on the perimeter. This is mainly because quarterbacks are more consistent with their targets when they throw to slot and outside wide receivers, as opposed to other inside options such as tight ends and backfield passers.

It's therefore interesting to see a receiver such as CeeDee lamb on this list for 2022. He plays the slot in three WR sets and flanker in two of the sets. Rain Bet is running more routes in the slot than a lot of the players listed on this chart. This is a great method to gain matchup advantages for your team. It also helps explain why Lamb is the most highly-rated receiver in our system.

He also plays the X-position, and can make big plays outside. Lamb isn't nearly as explosive as the players in this ranking, but he's still a very high-graded receiver and is a perfect fit for the Cowboys' scheme.

Mecole Hardman, another player who can put huge numbers with targets of all kinds, is another example. He's among the best in the league when it comes to throwing throws from behind his shoulders. He's also a great contested-catch player.

Jalen Hilton is another player who is slot specialist. He's been positioned in this position on 85.7 percent of his defensive plays thus far in the season. He has the third-lowest EPA for targets and the fifth-highest EPA for run stops among cornerbacks who play in the slot. This makes him an important player in the defensive line. On the contrary, he's been unable to block passes from the outside and has been able to give the negative EPA against these types of targets. This is because he's playing with linebackers and safety players who cannot match Hilton's speed, size, and ability to run routes.
