Notes

The mall is bussling, full of people who want to get out of the house on the first decently warm weekend of the year. Chatter becomes background noise along with the top tens charts for music trickling through the overhead speakers.

Josslyn is sticking close to her best friend Vivianna, as to not get lost in the crowd. They're having to yell slightly to be heard, even while keeping their heads close. Rather, as close as they can get while Vivianne is a good six inches above her.

They haven't bought anything yet, just browsing through the different stores the mall has to offer. The mall isn't giant by any means, but there's about fifty stores set up. Many chain brands, but there is also a few small businesses trying to sell items.

“Hey Joss,” Josslyn is startled out of her thoughts, and turns her head to see Vivi’s face very close, grinning with mischief as she points to the quarter powered rocking horse for kids.

Josslyn scoffs, “We'd hardly fit, and you damn better not try,” she elbows Vivi in the ribs, hoping it'll remove any other stupid ideas she has in mind. She can imagine Vivi attempting to get on it, probably rocking back too far, and falling off. As funny as it would be, neither of them can afford the hospital bills as broke collage kids.

Vivi sticks out her bottom lip, giving her best puppy dog eyes. It's really, really hard not to give in, whenever her already adorable roommate gives her this look. Josslyn sighs dramatically, rolling her eyes as an excuse to tare her gaze off her.

“Maybe,” Josslyn starts, and Vivi beams, “I'll get you some after we eat. I'm starving!” Josslyn gestures to the food court in front of them. They continue shifting through the crowd. They recognize kids from their collage, jumping from story to story as the reach the line to a sub shop.

They're laughing and being loud, getting some weird looks from the people around them. Josslyn finds that she doesn't mind, as she's having fun with her favorite person. It's after exam season, so she's still shaking off the leftover nerves. Her stomach is already starting to cramp from laughing so much, but it's a nice feeling after weeks of studying.
