In a patient with Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), vision is affected because there is too much or too little oil in the tear film. (Too much oil- teary eyes; too little oil- dry eyes)
Orbital cellulitis- caused by a bacterial infection. The infection might follow a skin injury, like a scratch, or an insect bite around the eye. These conditions allow bacteria to enter the wound and cause infection.
