Troye and Tyler are 13 now, Tyler's father still drinks but its not that bad and he doesnt usually act out anymore and hes a pretty good father. Troye realizes his crush on Tyler and comes out to him later on just doesn't tell him about the crush. Tyler says he accepts Troye. Somehow their school finds out Troye came out gay and they kids would bully him and beat him up. the school called his parents and told them he was gay, they accepted him. he couldn't take the bullying so he became home schooled.
