7 Simple Secrets To Totally Rocking Your Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

There's a robot for all carpet types, regardless of whether it's low-pile or high-pile. These intelligent appliances can will navigate your home in a way that is automated and pick up dirt and clean under furniture.

A lot of them come with advanced features, like mapping, which helps them navigate your home and remember furniture placement. They can also increase suction power to tackle dirtier areas.

iRobot Roomba 694"

The Roomba 694 from iRobot is a basic robot vacuum that performs well on both carpets with a low pile or bare floor. It has a decent suction and can clean most debris, however it has trouble with bigger debris like sand or rice. It is effective in cleaning pet hair, but isn't as strong against knots as premium Roomba models like the j7 and I6.

The Roomba is simple to use. It features three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which launches a cleaning session and 'Dock' that places it in its charging station, and the 'Spot' button, which triggers the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via an app on your smartphone that lets you program or stop/start cycles as well as alter settings. You can also pair the device to smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it through voice commands.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but can still be able to reach the majority of corners and crevices. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allow you to set the robot to avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to prevent it from getting stuck.

It's not the top in its price, however it's superior to other models. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with superior cleaning efficiency on carpets with low and no pile. It also has an efficient cleaning route and has a longer battery life. It is also more robust, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, and costs less over its lifetime and charges faster than 694.

It's also worth looking at other, more premium models in the iRobot range, such as the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but have significant improvements in cleaning performance for both bare and low pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment they charge faster, can move more easily, and are easier to pair up with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does a great job on carpets with a low pile and hard flooring. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges, and then automatically increases suction when it detects carpet. It is also effective at cleaning dirt and debris that are embedded in the middle of the pile carpet. The IQ has a tiny footprint and has a self-emptying feature. However, if you want to change floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it to do this, which is quite trouble.

The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated features, however it does not have no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective, although it can get caught in the tassels of the rug.

During our tests, we discovered that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to get rid of a large amount of debris on floors that were unfinished and a good amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less effective with shag carpets, where it struggled to get at dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It was capable of maneuvering chair legs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was a little slower on floors with no flooring, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tested.

The IQ is a more suitable option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery life, and is better in navigating around obstacles. It comes with mopping tools that are able to remove sticky debris. On the other side, the iRobot is more durable and has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and can even create virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning from where it left off even if the battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S robotic vacuum isn't among the most feature-rich models, but it provides powerful cleaning power at a low cost. The RoboVac 11S is designed for budget-conscious consumers who don't require a complicated mapping system, or an app to control it. The robot is able to last for more than an hour. It comes with a remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim, sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles polished aluminum. It's a refreshing departure from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

In our tests, the eufy11S was very effective in removing larger particles and fine dust on hard floors. However, vacuums robot struggled to give high and medium pile carpets a thorough clean. The device also has a tendency to bump into furniture and other objects in its path however, it's able detect obstacles with sensors. If it encounters them it ceases to move and emits a loud sound so you can manually steer it through the obstacle before getting back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust the suction force based on the type of floor and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it easy to guide the 11S to the desired place.

If you don't have a lot of furniture in the room you want to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will spend 30 minutes cleaning the area it's assigned.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning which restricts the time spent in each location to 20 minutes for optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner by cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range robot vacuum and a top performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also outstanding. It can pick up small particles like rice with ease and doesn't lose suction power even when its dirt bin fills. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body captures allergens to keep your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin which means you don't require additional filters or vacuum bags.

It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's excellent for dealing with staining and deep cleaning. The two cameras on the front of the unit provide live images to your smartphone, and it features one of the most effective obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It also has a large dustbin, a long runtime, and a fast and smooth clean-up.

Contrary to other robots the Complete C1 can switch between a standard powerhead and a turbo head for different flooring types. The turbo head works best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting, while the standard powerhead is good for floors with no flooring and light rug. It also comes with an automatic height adjustment system that allows it to adjust to different kinds of flooring without manual adjustments.

The model comes with an SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle hard floors as well as medium-pile carpeting. The powerhead is also easy to move and can reach tough spots. It comes with five levels of surface adjustment and an off-brush switch to help prevent tangled hairs.

The Classic C1 also has a self-cleaning brush roll, an UtraClean mode that moves across the same area three times to ensure the most thorough cleaning and a self-emptying bin that can be empty at the push of one button. The volume of noise produced by this model is higher than other models. However its powerful motor with 1,200 watts and robust construction justify the extra cost.

If you're willing a little more it's worth it. advanced cleaning is an excellent all-around canister robot vacuum that performs better on carpet than the Classic C1. It is more efficient on all floor types, feels more solidly built, and includes a HEPA filter.
