10 Tell-Tale Signs You Must See To Look For A New Best Shark Robot Vacuum
The Best Shark Robot Vacuum

Shark's robo vac checks off most of the boxes that you'd expect from a product in this price range. It offers a reliable cleaning performance and an easy-to use mobile app. It also creates precise home maps.

It also comes with Matrix Clean Navigation, a system that performs two passes back and forth, before moving to the side for full coverage. Its base is bagless, unlike the majority of robot vacuums.

1. Roborock S4

This is a great robot vacuum for flooring that is not in use with a large dirt container and can remove debris. The smart pathing system works well, and the app lets you to manage cleaning and docking. The app also gives you a convenient cleaning overview including a map of where the S4 has been cleaned, the cleaning time and battery life.

The S4's maximum suction is 2,000Pa which is similar to larger vacuums. With 19CFM, the S4's side and combo brush is located closer to the front of the unit than in other Roborock models, which could be a way to cut down on the possibility of clogging.

The S4's advanced navigation system is able to digitally map a home up to four levels. It will recall the areas that it has cleaned, making it simple to create a cleaning schedule without the need to manually move the robot around rooms. You can even mark off areas as no-go zones, which will stop the S4 from entering those spaces during a cleaning cycle.

It was able of cleaning an entire level of our home with ease and was extremely effective on bare flooring. However, it was not successful in cleaning up dog hair that is a common issue for a lot of robotic vacuums. mop robot vacuum of the dog hair it picked up was actually kept in the dustbin and much of the rest was clumped in the suction inlet and brushes.

Compared to other Shark vacuums in the market, the S4 is noticeably smaller and lighter, which increases maneuverability. It is able to make more precise turns and avoid obstacles that slow other robots. The low-profile design makes it easier to place under furniture. It has improved climbing capabilities for navigating flooring transitions and different flooring levels. It can reach the bottom of the stairs, and is a great option for homes with multiple levels. The app allows you to create a schedule and comes with the ability to control your vacuum manually. It is also able to return to its charging station to recharge automatically between cleaning cycles. It is equipped with the largest battery, 5200 mAh. It can last for up to 150 minutes in standard mode, or 2691 square feet between charges.

2. Shark EZ Robot Self Emptying

This Shark robot vacuum is a great choice for pet owners who need an easy-to-use, smart machine. Its bagless self-emptying base is a huge convenience particularly when compared to other vacuums that use disposable dirt bags on their bases. You can empty the bin on top of the trashcan by removing it. It's messy, but you'll save money on replacement bags.

The bin itself is also quite large, which means the EZ Robot is capable of handling a large amount of debris. It also does well on bare floors. However, it is unable to deal with dirt that is embedded in low-pile carpet. It also has good navigation capabilities and a compact footprint for the dock.

The EZ Robot may not be as efficient as Roborock S4, but it is still a great choice for those who are looking for a robot that can perform well and is priced reasonably. It's built well, comes with a wide range of features for automation, and boasts impressive cleaning capabilities on bare floors and high-pile carpet. Its maintenance requirements are very high, and its recurring expenses are very high.

Another great feature of this Shark robot is its capability to recharge and then resume where it began when it returns to its docking station after a full cleaning session. This is an extremely useful feature particularly if you own an extensive home.

The IQ XL also comes with a variety of other useful features. This includes the ability to schedule your entire home cleaning remotely and review cleaning reports through the SharkClean App. You can also begin, stop and resumptuate cleaning sessions by speaking via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Its row-by-row cleaning mode is a major benefit as it will clean your entire home in neat rows rather than a snake-like pattern that is back-andforth like many other robots.

The biggest drawback of the IQ XL is its inability to scale obstacles like power cords, which it might detect as solid barriers and avoid climbing over. It's also not as quick or efficient in navigating rooms that are stuffed with pet hair, which could tangle its brushes and slow it down.

3. Shark AI Robot

This is a great robotic vacuum from Shark that comes with a variety of features. It comes with a base that can store up to 30 days' worth of debris, and it also combines the cleaning power both of the robot mop and a vacuum cleaner. It comes with a matrix grid cleaning mode, and has advanced smart home integration that supports Alexa and Google Assistant. You can schedule it to clean, activate it on demand, or set virtual boundaries to block the robot from entering rooms that contain delicate items or rugs.

The Shark AI Robot does a good job cleaning bare floors. It picks up debris easily, such as rice. It has a difficult time getting rid of bulky, large debris from low pile carpets and is not able to move around large furniture. It does come with a do-not-disturb mode, so you can set it to work while you're at home and it won't interfere with your routine.

Another benefit is that it uses LiDAR technology to map out your home, allowing it to detect and navigate around obstacles with greater precision than those that rely on gyroscopes or infrared sensors. This helps it avoid crashing into delicate objects, and also optimize dirt collection on different surfaces. The LiDAR system is also faster than gyroscopes which can cause robots to slow down or lose control when they encounter uneven surfaces.

Other features include a remote control, automatic mopping and multiple vacuum modes. It is able to charge and recharge itself while it is in use. The biggest issue is that it only maps out one floor. If you have two floors it's required to be manually moved to the areas, and then programmed to repeat.

Another drawback is that it can be a bit loud, particularly in mopping mode. It also has many parts that must be changed or cleaned regularly, adding to its recurring cost. Fortunately, the base self-empty feature reduces some of these expenses and is compatible with bagless filters, which further reduces its annual expenses.

4. Shark ION Robot RV700 series

The Shark ION Robot RV700 Series fulfills all the requirements you'd expect from a midrange robot vacuum, including high-quality cleaning performance and a great mobile app that creates precise home maps. It also comes with a bagless base which eliminates the need for annual dust bags replacement. In our cleaning performance test it was able remove 97.8% of debris from carpeting with low pile and hardwood floors although it wasn't as effective on carpets with high piles. Its ability to maneuver makes it easy to navigate around furniture and climb onto flooring with high pile. It can also go over objects such as electrical cords and rug fringes without getting stuck.

Its helix-pattern high-tensile bristles are durable enough to manage and untangle long hair, string and other fibers The brushroll also has an adjustable edge that can be used when it encounters obstacles. Its slim design lets it coast underneath furniture and proximity sensors detect and adapt to surrounding obstacles. It can be set to start cleaning with a pressing of a button, or scheduled for a daily schedule through the app. Its noise levels are average however, it can be slowed down with a do-not-disturb feature or a custom scheduling.

The RV700 is more manual than the Roborock S4 or iRobot Roomba j7+. This is to be anticipated from an item that doesn't self-empty. It's nonetheless more durable and easy to maintain. It is faster in charging and removes more debris from high-pile and bare floors. Its navigation system can create virtual boundaries and detect obstacles making it the ideal choice for "set it and forget it" robotic cleaners.

The RV700 Series does not have an incline sensor that could stop it from falling down stairs. This could be a problem people who live in taller houses. It also can't vacuum and mop at the same time and requires users to switch between two modes available in the app. The RV700 Series offers a cheaper alternative to more advanced Roborock and iRobot robots with self-emptying features and cliff detection. Its main selling point is the ability to be recharged and emptied while docked at its base. This makes it an excellent option for those who don't want to empty the onboard dustbin every time they use it.
