Aardman's mischievous sheep Shaun has been a household favourite since his first appearance in the Wallace and Gromit short movie 'A Close Shave' back in 1995. The fluffy four-legged pal went on to star in his own movie, 'A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon' and his own series of 150 episodes of 7 minute stories now airs on Netflix. The series follows the shenanigans of the flock at Mossy Bottom Farm, along with the farmer, his pet dog Bitzer and his barnyard pals - Pidsey the cat, Shirley, cousin Timmy, Nuts, Hazel and the naughty pigs.

The stop motion animation is as wonderful as ever and kids and adults alike will love watching the shenanigans of their favourite farmyard characters. There are a variety of funny jokes and gags to enjoy - including silly slapstick, sight gags and gentle humour. The characters are smart, witty and very lovable and it's easy to get drawn into the story. The material is primarily harmless but there are a couple of milder threatening circumstances (like vehicle chases after) and some milder, naughty romance in between characters.

For more Shaun enjoyable, there's a new range of toys available including the farmyard buddies. The 'Baahing Shaun the Sheep' plush from Rainbow Designs is a company favourite with my boys and has actually remained in continuous use since it arrived. The medium sized plush is extremely soft and snuggly, and when you press in the middle of Shaun's tummy, it activates the baa-ing sound results. The young boys are likewise crazy about the 'Timmy Time' Shaun soft toy and the other characters in the collection.
