Doom Movie Review a few
Doom is a film about a squad of soldiers shooting up a bunch of demons. It sounds prefer it must be an especially entertaining action/horror movie, especially contemplating the reality that it stars Dwayne Johnson and Karl Urban. But sadly Doom is a boring and cringe-worthy waste of time that fails to ship on almost each stage.

The Doom video games had been developed by id Software and centered on first-person shooter gameplay. They were very popular and helped to pioneer the style. But the film version of the sport was not almost as successful as the games. In truth, it's considered to be one of the worst movies of all time.

It follows a squad of macho marines sent to the planet Mars after a security breach at a privately owned research facility. They are then tasked with capturing prime secret company data and comprise an invasion of mutant creatures. The cliche-ridden script by freshman scenarists David Callaham and Wesley Strick is crammed with intergalactic gobbledygook and is not very fun to read.


Doom was supposed to be a star vehicle for The Rock and it worked in that regard. The wrestler turned actor is entertaining enough and he brings his greatest workmanlike dialogue to the position of Sarge, leader of the Rapid Response Tactical Team that goes to Mars. He's ably supported by Urban, who is strong within the position of Reaper. Rosamund Pike, Richard Brake and Razaaq Adoti spherical out the cast of characters in this slasher flick.

One of the principle issues with the movie is that it's method too dark. This makes it exhausting to see the motion and it takes away from the stress of the scenes. There are a few makes an attempt to try and scare the viewers with loud noises and darkness but these aren't effective at all.

The writers have been making an attempt to make the movie more of a science fiction story than a straight up horror/action film however they failed on this. The demons in the film aren't all that impressive and so they do not do lots of injury either.

Doom is not as bad as some individuals make it out to be nevertheless it's not good both. It's a boring and disappointing movie that doesn't do a great job of bringing the world of Doom to the large display. If you are interested in watching this movie then I counsel you wait for it to return out on DVD. That method you possibly can avoid the unhealthy appearing and ridiculously dark scenes that make it troublesome to see anything. I give Doom 2/10..
