Along the way, they have to defeat an imprisoned General Zod and rescue Supergirl, a Kryptonian stranded on this reality.

The first trailer for the movie was released in October 2021. It opens with a shot of a fog-covered constructing, which leads into a spooky, gothic-inspired sequence featuring a skull-shaped fountain and a darkish red-suit-clad Barry working through the streets. It was a successful teaser, gaining optimistic reviews from critics and followers alike, and setting the tone for the remainder of the movie.

This trailer launched viewers to the multiverse and showed multiple variations of Miller as The Flash battling in opposition to each other.
