- Ciri-ciri mereka pada umumnya yaitu mereka ditutupi bulu-bulu kusut, memiliki rambut kasar di bagian kepalanya dan hidung yang luar biasa besar
- Mereka berjalan dengan dua kaki yang berkuku dua. Lengan-lengannya kecil dan masing-masing memiliki 4 jari-jari yang gemuk
- Porlock dewasa bisa mencapai tinggi sekitar 60 cm dan biasanya mereka memakan rumput.
- Porlock tergolong makhluk yang pemalu dan hidup untuk melindungi kuda-kuda.
- Mereka bisa ditemukan sedang berbaring melingkar di atas jerami di istal kuda atau bernaung di tanga-tengah kumpulan ternak yang mereka lindungi. maksudnya ternak disini kuda ya, seperti yang saya katakan tadi.
- Porlock tidak percaya pada manusia dan selalu bersembunyi setiap kali ada manusia mendekat
