Comma
The comma is the most commonly used punctuation mark in a sentence. When do you use a comma?
1. Commas are used to separate words, word phrases, and clauses in a series.
Example: The dogs were black, white, and yellow.
2. Commas are used to separate the main clauses of a compound sentence.
Example: We were excited to attend the concert, but we fell asleep in class the next day.
