Jesse Ed Davis was a guitarist from Norman, Oklahoma. He played for many famous people such as Willie Nelson, George Harrison, and even John Lennon. He also made a couple songs himself which were not too bad in my opinion. John Lennon had 2 albums called "Rock N' Roll" and "Walls and Bridges", which had one of my favorite songs called "Stand by me". Jesse Ed Davis played electric guitar in the song and you can kinda see him in the video. On June 22, 1988 Jesse Ed Davis collapsed and was pronounced dead in a laundry room in Venice, California. He died of drug overdose. In 2002, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. It just shows that you don't need music "talent" shows or to be born in a big city to become a good musician. You just need the skills and talent.
