A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm belongs to the class of drugs known as retinoids (synthetic or man-made vitamin A). A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm is primarily used to treat acne (pimples) and sun-damaged skin. Acne is a skin condition that is common and occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil.
A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm contains tretinoin, also known as retinoic acid (a form of vitamin A) that loosens and unblocks pores on the skin’s surface by reducing the oil secretion in the skin. This prevents the formation of pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads.
A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm is for external use only. Your doctor will advise you on how often you use A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm based on your medical condition. Avoid contact of A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm with nose, mouth, eyes, ears, or vagina. In case A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dry skin, peeling, redness, burning, itching, or stinging sensation of the skin. Most of these side effects of A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Directions for Use
Wash your hands before and after applying A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm. Before using it, try to clean and dry the affected skin area. Applying A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm to wet skin may cause skin irritation, so try not to wash the treated area. Also do not apply other skin products for at least 1 hour after applying A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm. Wash the face with mild soap and pat the skin dry. Take a small pearl-sized amount of A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm on the fingertip and apply on the clean and dry affected area once a day in the evening. Avoid contact of A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm with nose, mouth, eyes, ears or vagina. In case A-Ret 0.05%w/w Gel 20 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.
