YUI merupakan salah satu penyanyi solo di jepang, lahir di Fukuoka, 26 maret 1987. Debut pada tahun 2004 dengan It's Happy Line. Ia merupakan satu-satunya penyanyi yang sudah terkenal tetapi masih melakukan live street untuk promosi lagunya. YUI hanya lulusan SMP karena ia ingin fokus dengan musik yang dipelajarinya saat itu. YUI bisa memainkan gitar listrik, akustik, bas, keyboard, piano dan drum. YUI juga di juluki sebai Avril Lavigne Jepang.
YUI sempat hiatus di tahun 2012 dan kembali ke industri musik di tahun 2013 dengan band flower flower. Pada saat itu YUI membuat gebrakan baru dengan menyanyikan lagu rock serta memotong rambutnya menjadi pendek. Untuk saat ini YUI sedang hiatus dari industri musik.
Awards : 2008 dengan My Generation berhasil memenangkan penghargaan Best Pop Video dari Space Shower Music Video Awards 08
2010 dengan Gloria berhasil menang Hit of the year dari 1st Brazil's J-Station Music Awards
