https://aesthetics.fandom.com/wiki/Delicate_Sweet Gloomy Coquette
Delicate Sweet is a Coquette aesthetic characteristic for its "handmade" and "homelike" appearance with washed out colors of pink, white, and beige, lace motifs, ribbons, fabric textures, indoor environments/activities and everyday items related to comfort such as stuffed animals, baked goods, pillows, beds and vintage nightgowns.
The aesthetic originated on tumblr from the mid 2010s. It co-existed and shared many visuals with the Morute community, except this one is entirely uninvolved in morbid themes. There is a lot of influence on the Babycore aesthetic.
Rather, this aesthetic focuses on feelings of comfort, cuteness, and safety, the opposite of Morute which centers around trauma and mental illness.
The name for this aesthetic was created for this wiki and only for documentation purposes. These sorts of images were typically tagged under coquette or gloomy coquette.

When have red nails stopped being a classic? Short or medium. They are like a red lip thing. As for your question, people talk about a side or middle part now. I'll never choose a middle part, looks too plain... and I will never know if it's my personal taste or because I am a millenial.

Hair parts being in or out of style has always been goofy to me, everyone is going to look better with a different part depending on their hairline and face shape.

i'm just baffled that other people's hair is well-behaved enough to stay the way they parted it lmao
sounds fake. maybe sorcery

Yeah, no kidding. I side part because I have a massive cowlick. If I style my hair really carefully I might be able to get it to tolerate a middle part or curtain bangs for a night out or a work day but by the time I'm heading home it is without fail migrating back to the side.

Yup! My hair naturally side parts, there’s nothing I can really do to change

"Coquette" is just a sanitized rebrand of "nymphette". It's been an ongoing problem in the egl community for like a decade now lol. People will continue stealing lolitas photos and recaption them with whatever the current "girly" trend is long after coquette goes out of style.
And lolita is already global but it's too specific and expensive to become truly mainstream. Cutsews like the ones putumayo or AP make might catch on but that's as far as I can imagine it going.

"Coquette" comes and goes with teen girls discovering Lana Del Rey, basically, but I doubt lolita will ever become "globalized" because, like others said, it's an expensive alternative slow fashion. I also doubt anyone could ever mistake coquette for EGL, they look nothing alike; I could see normies mistaking other girly kei such as jirai with coquette, but lolita? Never.
