Once the kid spotted the man, he ran towards him as fast as he could. The man knelt down as the kid wrapped his arms around his shoulders. “Dad! It was so cool they had so many books an-”

Pac tuned him out as he turned to his own son. He put his hands on each of Richas’s shoulders.

“Never, ever do that again. You scared me, Mike, and Cellbit very bad, because you didn’t follow the instructions we set to make sure this didn’t happen.” Pac said, trying to remain stern. But as Richas was being berated, it was hard to not notice that his bottom lip began to wobble. Pac’s expression softened, and he pulled his kid into a hug.

When he heard the two next to him go quiet, Pac picks up Richas– even if it’s getting more and more difficult these days– and turns to face them.

“Tha- uh,” The man stumbles over his words, and begins to rub the nape of his neck while his other hand in on his boy’s shoulder. It takes a moment until he finds his words again, “I appreciate that you brought my boy back.” Pac tilts his head in curiosity. The man is very hesitant to act some ways Pac thought was regular for humans, as if he kept checking a list to make sure he kept in character.

Of course, Pac knew of the guidelines that the humans had created to keep themselves safe from the mischief of the fae. Most of the time, he would be frustrated that he couldn’t mess with a human. But for a reason Pac couldn’t pinpoint, he didn’t seem to have the heart to play with this one. He had been so kind and polite, even if it was obvious that he was nervous.

“I am also greatful that you brought Richarlyson back into my hands” Pac responds. “We must get home now, and I advise you to do the same.” The man nods, and he sets down Richas.

Though impulsively, and perhaps stupidly, “Wait,” The man stopped in his tracks and turned around. Pac tries to remain tall, and as if he totally planned that and knows exactly why he said that. “…Meet me here tomorrow. At sun high.”

The man nods, and Pac can’t help but notice the way he tensed. It takes the boy pulling on his arm to make him turn around and continue walking home. And they both go their seperate ways. Though the whole walk home, Richas is eyeing him curiously, and Pac can’t help but agree.
