The second area is allocated for battery testing and validation which involves more than sixty processes such as charge-discharge cycles, air leak detection, insulation testing and Static Test. This manufacturing line can manufacturing as many as fifty thousand Cell-To-Pack EV battery packs per year, offering quality standards on par with those produced for global markets. Battery packs manufactured at the manufacturing plant are slated to be initially deployed on MG4 ELECTRIC as well as upcoming models in the future. At present, the factory is in its preparatory production phases and is expected to officially open in 2024.

Mr. Zhao Feng, President of the automotive group, stated, "This battery production plant is part of the development plan underlying NEW ENERGY INDUSTRIAL PARK located within WHA ESIE 2 industrial zone in Chonburi province earmarked towards local manufacture of electric vehicles. Along with the additional investment budget of 500 million baht, the factory has been configured for the production of cell-to-pack (CTP) electric vehicle battery packs utilizing an innovative cube battery design. With the robust growth as well as growing opportunity within Thailand's electric vehicle segment, the parent companies realize the potential to become the production hub for electric vehicles catering to local and export markets, particularly across ASEAN countries."
