Easy to install

Fiat 500 key covers are an easy way to freshen your car keys. They come in a variety of styles and colors making it possible to find the right one that matches your personality. They can be installed by yourself in ten minutes. You'll need a screwdriver, and some patience. The first step is to remove the previous cover from your key. It must be removed before the new cover can be put in place.

After you have removed the old cover, use a flathead screwdriver in order to pry out the four main attachment clips on the side that is on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked with red on the image below. Also, note the tabs for locating slots, which are yellow, that must be removed in addition.

Replace the old battery with a #CR2032 coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should be facing the fob's opening, and the "-" side should face the rubber buttons.

Attach the cover for the passenger side mirror by aligning the locating tabs. After you've completed this, insert the fob that is on the driver's side back in your vehicle and test it by pressing the push button on the front of the car key. If everything is functioning properly, the parking lights should be on and the doors will automatically lock.

Easy to remove

When you insert the key into your Fiat key fob, it press a button on the ignition switch, which is used as a "key-in-ignition" reminder. The BCM will then be able to read the transponder in the key fob and verify that it's legitimate.

You can also add a sport-inspired twin pack to your key covers to give it an unique and funky appearance. These covers snap in place over the original cover. They are available in Cream and Silver. The key cover will only function when the original black cover is removed from your key fob.
