Keys
Fiat keys may appear simple, but inside is a chip that is communicating with the immobiliser system of your vehicle. If the chip is not present, or is not programmed correctly to the immobiliser, your car will not be able to start. Car Keys Solutions can offer you dealer-grade equipment and technology to repair your Fiat key, even if the key has been damaged or lost.

Some people prefer to go to a Fiat Dealership if they require a replacement key, but we are able to offer a lower cost and faster service. You will also save on the towing charges of bringing your vehicle from and to the dealership because we can deliver the key to you. fiat 500 key cover can also reduce the wait time which can range from a few days to 10 days.
Remotes
Remote controls for Fiat cars look like the keys themselves, except they have an IR (infrared) LED on the other end. The LED sends signals to the device that allows the car to open or stop when the button is pressed. The signal is interpreted by a microprocessor within the key, which transforms it into a code that is then transmitted to the device.
This is referred to as "keyless entry". The more modern your vehicle and the more likely it is to feature a keyless entry system. The more advanced your vehicle has, the more features will come with. This includes everything from locking and unlocking your car with a button press and opening the doors without having to touch the door handle, and many more.
The key fob comes with an integrated circuit chip which communicates with the immobiliser system of the car. The system can determine whether the correct key is in place by observing a certain sequence of digits within the transponder chip. If the chip isn't there, or if it is not programmed to the correct immobiliser system the vehicle won't start.
A locksmith can replace the key fob if it is damaged. They'll also have to program the replacement key to sync with the immobiliser of the car. It is recommended to provide your locksmith's details about your car when they call.
Keyless Entry
If you have a keyless entry system in your Fiat 500, you can secure and unlock the car from anywhere with a push of a button. This technology is becoming more common in all kinds of vehicles, and adds convenience and security to the use of your vehicle.
Check to see if the remote keyless entry system isn't working. The battery inside the fob may be dead. Replace the battery with one of the same voltage, type, and size as the original if it's depleted. Also, make sure that the battery contacts are clean and free from corrosion or dust.
The key fob has rubber seals that shield the electronic chip inside from water, but prolonged exposure to salty or soapy water can cause the chip to fail. If your key fob has been exposed to water, remove the battery and let it dry completely before putting it back into. You can also clean the electronic chip by using isopropyl or electronic cleaner.
While some people might believe that keyless entry is less secure, the system is actually more secure than conventional systems due to the code that unlocks your car is rolled away after each use. This means that even if hackers intercept the signal it isn't possible for them to gain access to your vehicle.
Transponders
Fiat uses a crypto key transponder, which means that keys/transponders have to be precoded with an encrypted code by the Body Control Module (BCM) before being "programmed" into the BCM. This is the reason a blank unwritten key is not able to be programmed as the BCM must read and write the secret code to the transponder before locking it. This is known as the process of cloning.
These are brand new replacement outer cases that replace the SIP22 Transponder keys for Fiat 500. They contain a chip that unlocks the doors and opens the car. They will need to be professionally cut by a locksmith so that they fit your ignition.
