Fungsi: mengambil benda yang jaraknya dekat / jauh dengan tongkat si penyihir.
Perapalan: AK-key-oh. (diikuti benda yang hendak dipanggil)
Pergerakan wand: membentuk setengah lingkaran.
The Accio berasal dari kata Latin berarti "saya sebut" atau "aku memanggil/mengambil". Dalam terjemahan Hungaria, disebut "Invito" mungkin dari kata "untuk mengundang atau undangan".
Disebut fungsinya berjarak dekat karena semakin jauh benda yang diinginkan, semakin sulit untuk memanggilnya. Namun, Hermione Granger menyatakan tidak peduli seberapa jauh benda itu, selama pemantra memikirkannya dengan jelas, maka bisa memanggilnya dengan mudah.
Membutuhkan konsentrasi pikiran dan benda harus jelas terbayang dalam pikiran pemantra sebelum mencoba memanggilnya. Letak dari benda harus diketahui.
Mantra ini dikhususkan untuk benda. Namun tidak dapat digunakan pada bangunan, dan tidak bekerja pada kebanyakan makhluk hidup, termasuk manusia, dan yang tidak dianggap layak untuk dipanggil, seperti Flobberworm.
Tak semua benda dapat di-Accio. Anti-Theft Charm (Counter-Spell), hanya pemilik yang sah dapat meng-Accio-kannya.
