You can now upgrade units. Units have four Tiers: No Tier, Veteran, Elite and Royal.
Being through a battle gives a unit the Veteran status. Five battles reward them with the Elite rank.
You can also do the upgrades manually. Making a unit veteran takes 1 turn and 2 MI. Making a unit elite takes 2 turns and 4 MI. Royal tier is only achievable through training, takes 3 turns and costs 6 MI.
-Clarification: you can recruit custom units, such as Hoplites or Legionnaries, as long as they fall into an available category.
