Pre-Owned RVs: Our process and why we are different than the competition

Buying a pre-owned RV is a great choice for most families. If you are willing to shop around and research your options, you can find some fantastic deals on some great models.

The problem is that buying an RV is not just about picking an option off the lot - it’s about taking care of your family’s needs for years to come. If you don’t do your homework first and buy from a trusted dealer, you could end up regretting your decision later on down the line.

When you buy a used RV, you are expected to do your research to make sure you get a fair deal. Our goal is to help our customers find the best possible RVs for their needs with no hassle or debate about whether we are trustworthy.

So, what sets us apart from the competition?

Our knowledgeable staff has years of experience in the RV industry, so we know what to look for when vetting used trailers. We can help you decide whether a particular pre-owned model is right for your family, and we will ensure it’s been closely inspected by our technicians before it hits our lot and is ready for viewing.

Here are some of the things that we do prior to listing a unit for sale:

Safety first!

We know the importance of safety, especially when it comes to your family. That’s why we do a complete check on everything we can and can’t see.

We pull off the tires and check them for wear. Did you know there’s a date code on tires? Even if the tread looks good, the rubber breaks down over time. We will ensure they are up to date and in good condition.

We check the brakes and bearings and replace them as needed.

The smoke and CO2 detectors are checked and changed out when needed.

We gas test the unit and drain and fill the fresh water, grey water and black tank and check for any issues. Sometimes problems arise after a unit has been sitting for long periods of time. If that’s the case, we will make sure to get it fixed.

Doing a complete safety check on each unit ensures there are no outstanding issues or surprises that may come up in travel.

Touch up maintenance

We perform touch-up maintenance on the trailer and prepare it for its next owner.

This includes both the exterior and interior. We check for signs of decay, give fresh coats of paint, and check the overall structural integrity of the trailer. If necessary, we will address moisture concerns and corrosion issues so that the RV is ready for its new owner to enjoy for years to come.

A proper cleaning

Staying true to our honesty and integrity, we take the time to properly clean all used RVs before they hit the market. We take a multi-step approach in our cleaning process to ensure the highest quality standards are met and your RV will look great inside and out.

The interior flooring, carpets and upholstery gets washed and vacuumed. Then an Ozonated treatment kills any bacteria and lingering odours.

The result is a clean space ready for family memories to be made.

Inspection Time

The inspection process is extensive and is performed by a Certified RV technician. All units are pre-qualified before purchase, so there are no surprises or hidden defects.

We pressure test everything to make sure that it is functioning correctly. This includes the water pump, propane system, refrigerator and anything else you would expect to find in an RV!
