Protego,Stupefy
'Protego' : mantra untuk perlindungan.
Mantra ini memiliki efek sebagai mantra perlindungan yang akan menghalau segala jenis serangan mantra dan juga benda-benda fisik yang dilemparkan ke kita. Tidak semua mantra bisa dihalau Protego, salah satu contoh mantra yang tidak bisa di halau Protego yaitu mantra Avada Kedavra.
Mantra Protego ini banyak variasinya, ada Protego Duo, Protego Horribilis, Protego Totallum dan Protego Maxima.
Protego ini berasal dari bahasa latin Protego yang artinya melindungi, cara pelafalannya itu 'pro-TAY-goh' dan saat melafalkan mantra ini, gerakan wandnya itu hanya mengayunkan wand secara vertikal. Warna sinarnya adalah biru transparan (nyaris putih).
Stupefy
Stupefy adalah mantra yang membuat target tak sadarkan diri/pingsan. Mantra ini juga sangat berguna dalam pertempuran, dan ini diajarkan Harry kepada pasukan laskar Dumbledore untuk melindungi diri dari musuh. Mantra ini apabila digunakan dengan keras, mantra ini dapat menyebabkan korban berada di bawah alam sadar (koma). Emotologi dari mantra Stupefy itu berasal dari bahasa inggris stupefy, yang berarti ‘memingsankan’. Jika diperhatikan, saat melafalkan mantra ini dari ujung tongkat akan mengeluarkan kilatan cahaya berwarna merah. Cara pelafalannya itu 'STU-peh-fay.
