Approximately 70% of cases are complicated by Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon. Although osseous extension of the primary lesion is relatively common, primary bone involvement by KHE is rare. Given the paucity of literature on primary KHE of the bone, we report a case series of primary KHE of the bone treated at our institution and describe the clinical presentation, radiologic and pathologic findings, management and outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to perform Turkish adaptation and validation of NOC (1102) Wound Healing Primary Intent and examine wound healing in patients with hip prosthesis diagnosed with impaired tissue integrity.

The study was carried out in methodological and descriptive design, and the sample of the study consisted of 55 patients. Introductory Characteristics Form and Wound Healing Primary Intention NOC Form were used for data collection. Ethical consent was obtained before initiating the study.

In the study, content validity index value of the NOC scale was calculated was 95.71%. Few studies have investigated the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of young childhood cancer survivors and their parents. This study describes parent and child cancer survivor HRQoL compared to population norms and identifies factors influencing child and parent HRQoL.

We recruited parents of survivors who were currently <16years, and >5years postdiagnosis. Parents reported on their child's HRQoL (Kidscreen-10), and their own HRQoL (EQ-5D-5L). Parents rated their resilience and fear of cancer recurrence and listed their child's cancer-related late effects.

One hundred eighty-two parents of survivors (mean age=12.4years old and 9.7years postdiagnosis) participated. Parent-reported child HRQoL was significantly lower than population norms (48.4 vs. 50.7, p<.009). Parents most commonly reported that their child experienced sadness and loneliness (18.1%). Experiencing more late effects and receiving treatments other than surgery were associated with worse child HRQoL. Parents' average HRQoL weaningfully different from perfect health. To explore the application effects of hierarchical, diversified soft skills training in clinical nursing training.

This is a prospective study. There involved a total of 124 nurses who participated in the training in our hospital. The participants were randomly allocated to the study group and the control group, with 62 nurses in each group. Study group received hierarchical, diversified nursing soft skills training and control group received conventional nursing training only. The core competence, knowledge, operation skills and clinical competence of nurses in the two groups before and after training were measured and compared, and the satisfaction of doctors and patients in the two groups after training were observed.

The scores of education and consultation, professional development, legal and ethical practice, interpersonal relationship, leadership, clinical nursing and critical thinking were compared between the two groups before the training (P>.05). After the training, however, the scores of archical, diversified soft skills training in clinical nursing training programme obtained better outcomes in the core competence, knowledge, operation skills and clinical competence of nursing staff, and promoted the satisfaction of doctors and patients, which can be utilised for clinical practice.
Cichorium intybus is a rich source of terpenoids and phenolic compounds, one of the effective methods in managing and reducing the complications of chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this systematic review was to evaluate the evidence obtained from animal and human studies on the effects of chicory on metabolic indicators (such as inflammation, oxidative stress, blood sugar and dyslipidaemia) of diabetes mellitus.

This systematic search was performed in ProQuest, PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase and Science Direct databases and on articles published until August 2021. All of the animal studies and clinical trials included in this systematic review that assessed the effect of chicory on metabolic risk markers in diabetes were published in English language journals.

Finally, amongst 686 articles, only 23 articles met the needed criteria for further analysis. Out of 23 articles, 3 studies on humans and 20 studies on animals have been carried out. Fifteen of the 19 studies that evaluated the effect of chicory on the glycaemic index showed that Cichorium intybus improved blood glucose index (it had no effect in two human studies and three animal studies). Ten of the 13 studies evaluating the effect of Cichorium intybus on lipid profiles showed that it improved dyslipidaemia. Also, all 12 studies showed that chicory significantly reduces oxidative stress and inflammation.

According to the available evidence, Cichorium intybus might improve the glycaemic status, dyslipidaemia, oxidative stress and inflammation. However, further studies are recommended for a comprehensive conclusion about the exact mechanism of chicory in diabetic patients.

This study investigates how renewable energy and eco-innovation affect international trade and environmental performance using quarterly data series from 1981 to 2018 for China. The study applies a quantile-based autoregressive distributed lag model. The results indicate that environmental innovation and renewable energy are consistent with environmental quality, while trade openness and urbanization contribute to environmental degradation by stimulating CO2 emissions. In addition, the quantile causality test showed a bidirectional causality between renewable energy and CO2 emissions, trade openness and CO2 emissions, and urbanization and CO2 emissions. Additionally, the findings lend theoretical support for the formulation of environmentally protective policies to better understand the role of renewable energy in stimulating international trade, which eventually enhances environmental performance. Computed tomography (CT) is often used to investigate muscle and fat mass in adult patients with cancer. However, this method has rarely been used in the pediatric cancer population. The present retrospective study aimed to investigate changes in body composition using CT during treatment in children with neuroblastoma.

CT images of 29 patients with high-risk neuroblastoma were retrospectively analyzed at diagnosis and longitudinally during treatment. The cross-sectional area of skeletal muscle, intermuscular adipose tissue (IMAT), visceral adipose tissue (VAT), and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) and skeletal muscle density at the level of the third lumbar vertebra were examined. To correct for height, cross-sectional areas were divided by height in meters squared. A linear mixed model was estimated to investigate changes in body composition over time.
