-related intellectual disability syndrome with ocular findings of albinism and explore the possible pathogenesis of this previously unreported manifestation.

This is a single, retrospective case report of a child with DIDS who underwent an ophthalmic exam including detailed visual electrophysiology.
A 21-month-old female with microcephaly, failure to thrive, language delay, cleft palate, and cardiac defects had an ophthalmic exam showing myopia, strabismus, a hypopigmented fundus and crossed asymmetry on visual evoked potential (VEP), consistent with ocular findings of albinism. Whole exome sequencing identified a pathogenic
variant; no albinism gene variants were reported. Her constellation of features is consistent with a diagnosis of
-related intellectual disability syndrome; however, ocular features of albinism have not previously been reported in this condition.

This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first report of ocular findings of albinism in a case of
-related intellectual disability syndrome. We propose that ocular albinism is a novel ocular phenotype of
-related disease. Ophthalmic exams in patients with this diagnosis should include thorough evaluation for ocular albinism, including VEPs.

The world is currently fighting a COVID-19 pandemic, perhaps the most disruptive infectious disease outbreak since the 1918 Spanish influenza. Governments have taken drastic measures to curb the spread of SARS-CoV-2, and the development of safe and efficacious vaccine candidates is being accelerated. The possibility of vaccine-mediated disease enhancement with coronavirus vaccines has been flagged as a potential safety concern, and, despite the urgent need, should be thoroughly assessed as vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 are being tested.

We review the in vivo evidence suggesting a theoretical risk of disease enhancement after vaccination with SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV vaccine candidates. We also identify knowledge gaps that need to be filled to maximize the chance of developing a safe vaccine and minimize the risk of encountering disease enhancement in vaccinated individuals after exposure to SARS-CoV-2.

This article explores undergraduate pre-health student stereotypes of various health professionals at the beginning and end of a six-week summer academic enrichment program, which included IPE. Convenience sampling was used to request participation in a survey, which included the Student Stereotypes Ratings Questionnaire (SSRQ). The SSRQ asks students to rate their perception of health professions on multiple traits. One hundred pre-health students across three institutions completed the SSRQ. The mean scores across all professions and all traits increased post-survey. Lowest pre-mean scores were for nursing (the ability to work independently and the ability to lead a team) and registered dietitian (the ability to lead a team). The highest pre-mean score was for the physician profession for academic ability. Results from this study indicate varying levels of stereotypes have already developed in pre-health students. After the six-week program, pre-health students' perceptions of health professions were positively affected. Interrater reliability values of 0.995 and 0.982 were established for ATOMIC pre- and post-therapy measures, respectively, during a pilot phase involving 16 participants. Pre- and post-therapy ATOMIC scores confirmed progress on pre-determined functional goals across a range of skill domains. Outcomes of this study demonstrated that real gains are being made in urban First Australian children's lives following interprofessional collaborative service provision.A school-based oral health promotion program was established on a Bahamian island that lacks access to dental care. An interprofessional team of dental hygiene (DH) and occupational therapy (OT) students and faculty delivered an annual service program from 2016 to 2018 based on the Ecological Model of School-Based Health Promotion. The interprofessional team provided oral preventative services and class-based lessons to children to reinforce positive oral health behaviors. Efforts to sustain the program involved partnering with the Bahamian community stakeholders to expand networks of influence, developing effective communication systems, and integrating oral health into the school curriculum. The interprofessional approach enabled a sustained and comprehensive program. The facilitator is a key player in the orchestration of online learning and as such, this paper seeks to present a radical reworking of the Garrison and Archer Community of Inquiry model that emphasizes the importance of a therapeutic presence in online interprofessional facilitation. link3 Drawn from a strand of inductive empirical qualitative research based on 15 years' experience of online interprofessional education, this paper employs a therapeutic lens to propose the good enough facilitator as a theoretical construct that emphasizes the importance of the facilitator understanding when to intervene and when to retreat within the online space. Online interprofessional asynchronous discussion groups are explored to illustrate the value of the good enough facilitator in online learning.
