oach based on rough set attribute reduction and prospect theory can acquire practical decision-making rules while considering the different risk preferences of decision-makers facing different decision-making results, which is significant for the rapid development of public health emergency assistance and disaster relief.Coastal habitats are essential for ecological processes and provide important ecosystem services. The Galapagos archipelago has a wide diversity of ichthyofauna which preservation guarantees the functioning of the marine ecosystem. In this study, we used ecological and taxonomic indices as well as multivariate analysis to identify spatiotemporal changes in fish community structure in coastal habitats of San Cristóbal Island in the southeastern Galapagos archipelago. We analyzed how the patterns of variability were related to the abiotic conditions (substrate, sea temperature and depth) of each habitat. Nine sites affected by anthropogenic influence (fishing and tourism) representing different habitats/substrates were sampled. Underwater surveys were conducted during the warm and cold seasons in 2010 and 2011 at transects that varied in depth according to site. Artificial habitat, followed by coral and rocky habitats, had the highest diversity, evenness, and taxonomic distinctness, while mangrove habitats had the lowest values. This was related to the habitat complexity and possible anthropogenic influences. While the diversity patterns were more strongly related to the type of substrate, followed by the combination of substrate and depth, and the sea temperature had less influence. These findings were related to the ecological traits of the fish communities and their mobility between habitats. Temporal changes in fish community diversity and composition were not detected at all sites, suggesting that these species have high fidelity to their habitats and a high environmental tolerance that allows them to persist in their habitats despite strong changes in sea temperature on the Galapagos archipelago.Gut microbiomics is based on analysis of both live and dead cells in the stool. However, to understand the ecology of gut microbiota and their symbiotic relationships with hosts, spatial distribution of live bacteria must be examined. Here, we analyzed the live composition of luminal microbiota (LM) and mucosa-associated microbiota (MAM) in the ascending and descending colons and the rectums of 10 healthy adults and compared it with the total composition. The abundance of Lachnospiraceae in live LM decreased along the gut length and was significantly lower than that in total LM. Contrastingly, the abundance of Bacteroidaceae and Bifidobacteriaceae in live LM was higher than that in total LM, suggesting differences in death rate during gut migration. Live Enterobacteriaceae levels in MAM were significantly higher in rectum than in the ascending and descending colons and in LM. High-performance liquid chromatographic analysis of luminal bile acids revealed that 7α-dehydroxylation occurred towards the rectum. In live LM where a bile acid-inducible gene could be detected, 7α-dehydroxylation rates were higher than those in the group without the gene. Overall, we showed differences in live bacteria composition among three gut sites and between LM and MAM, highlighting the importance of understanding their spatial distribution.Drought tolerant germplasm is needed to increase crop production, since water scarcity is a critical bottleneck in crop productivity worldwide. Auxin Regulated Gene involved in Organ Size (ARGOS) is a large protein family of transcription factors that plays a vital role in organ size, plant growth, development, and abiotic stress responses in plants. Although, the ARGOS gene family has been discovered and functionalized in a variety of crop plants, but a comprehensive and systematic investigation of ARGOS genes in locally used commercial wheat cultivars is still yet to be reported. The relative expression of three highly conserved TaARGOS homoeologous genes (TaARGOS-A, TaARGOS-B, TaARGOS-D) was studied in three drought-tolerant (Pakistan-2013, NARC-2009 and NR-499) and three sensitive (Borlaug-2016, NR-514 and NR-516) wheat genotypes under osmotic stress, induced by PEG-6000 at 0 (exogenous control), 2, 4, 6, and 12 h. The normalization of target genes was done using β-actin as endogenous control, whereas DREs had a much greater relative fold expression than the sensitive genotypes. Ultimately, Pakistan-2013 showed the highest relative expression of the studied genes than other genotypes which shows its proficiency to mitigate osmotic stress. Therefore, it could be cultivated in arid and semi-arid regions under moisture-deficient regimes. These findings advocated the molecular mechanism and regulatory roles of TaARGOS genes in plant growth and osmotic stress tolerance in contrasting groups of wheat genotypes, accompanied by the genetic nature of identified genotypes in terms of their potential for drought tolerance.Vaccination with inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus produces suboptimal immune responses among kidney transplant (KT), peritoneal dialyzed (PD), and hemodialyzed (HD) patients. Participants were vaccinated with two-dose inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (V2) and a third dose of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine (V3) at 1-2 months after V2. We enrolled 106 participants 31 KT, 28 PD, and 31 HD patients and 16 controls. Among KT, PD, and HD groups, median (IQR) of anti-receptor binding domain antibody levels were 1.0 (0.4-26.8), 1092.5 (606.9-1927.2), and 1740.9 (1106-3762.3) BAU/mL, and percent neutralization was 0.9 (0-9.9), 98.8 (95.9-99.5), and 99.4 (98.8-99.7), respectively, at two weeks after V3. Both parameters were significantly increased from V2 across all groups (p 90% in PD, HD, and control groups, which was higher than that in KT recipients (74%, p less then 0.05). The heterologous inactivated virus/ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccination strategy elicited greater immunogenicity among dialysis patients; however, inadequate responses remained among KT recipients (TCTR20210226002).A self-organizing structure is important for imparting functions and simplifying the manufacturing process. The development of spontaneous structures with a roll-to-roll process capability is a challenging task. We propose a novel patterning method utilizing the destruction of the emulsion structure. An oil-in-water (O/W) UV-curable emulsion liquid film was partially exposed to UV, resulting in aggregation and immobilization of the emulsion in the medium. Emulsion droplets in the unexposed area are coalesced by removing water. Coalesced emulsion droplets expand and spontaneously permeate into the pores formed in the aggregated structure of UV-cured emulsion particles, causing an uneven structure. An uneven pattern can be formed by direct UV exposure of the liquid film and the subsequent drying process without requiring a development process.Doctors in developing countries are too busy to write digital prescriptions. Ninety-seven percent of Bangladeshi doctors write handwritten prescriptions, the majority of which lack legibility. Prescriptions are harder to read as they contain multiple languages. This paper proposes a machine learning approach to recognize doctors' handwriting to create digital prescriptions. A 'Handwritten Medical Term Corpus' dataset is developed containing 17,431 samples of 480 medical terms. In order to improve the recognition efficiency, this paper introduces a data augmentation technique to widen the variety and increase the sample size. A sequence of line data is extracted from the augmented images of 1,591,100 samples and fed to a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network. Data augmentation includes pattern Rotating, Shifting, and Stretching (RSS). Eight different combinations are applied to evaluate the strength of the proposed method. The result shows 93.0% average accuracy (max 94.5%, min 92.1%) using Bidirectional LSTM and RSS data augmentation. This accuracy is 19.6% higher than the recognition result with no data expansion. The proposed handwritten recognition technology can be installed in a smartpen for busy doctors which will recognize the writings and digitize them in real-time. It is expected that the smartpen will contribute to reduce medical errors, save medical costs and ensure healthy living in developing countries.Urethral stricture (US) remains a challenging disease without effective treatment options due to the high recurrence rate. This study aims to evaluate the preventive effect of uncultured adipose derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) on urethral fibrosis in a rat model of US. Results demonstrated that US rats displayed hyperechogenic urethral wall with a narrowed lumen compared with sham rats, while SVF rats exhibited less extensive urethral changes. By histology, US rats showed obvious submucosal fibrosis in the urethral specimens, while SVF rats exhibited mild submucosal fibrosis with less extensive tissue changes. Furthermore, US rats showed increased gene and protein expression of collagen I (2.0 ± 0.2, 2.2 ± 0.2, all were normalized against GAPDH, including the following), collagen III (2.5 ± 0.3, 1.2 ± 0.1), and TGFβ1R (2.8 ± 0.3, 1.9 ± 0.2), while SVF cells administration contributed to decreased gene and protein expression of collagen I (1.6 ± 0.2, 1.6 ± 0.2), collagen III (1.8 ± 0.4, 0.9 ± 0.1), and TGFβ1R (1.8 ± 0.3, 1.3 ± 0.2), in parallel with the improvement of vascularization and increased expression of VEGF (1.7 ± 0.1) and bFGF (3.1 ± 0.3). Additionally, SVF served anti-inflammatory effect through regulation of inflammatory cytokines and cells, accompanied with conversion of the macrophage phenotype. Our findings suggested that uncultured SVF presented an inhibitory effect on stricture formation at an early stage of urethral fibrosis.Preoperative diagnosis of infection is important for appropriate surgical treatment of patients with rapid hip destruction (RHD). We investigated whether test results, including inflammatory and nutritional markers, could be used to accurately differentiate infectious and non-infectious RHD. Fifty patients with RHD who underwent total hip arthroplasty within a year of onset were observed. Rolipram Infectious RHD was defined as ≥ 2 positive serological inflammatory, microbiological, or pathological evaluations. The albumin to globulin ratio (AGR), C-reactive protein (CRP)/albumin ratio (CAR), Glasgow prognostic score (GPS), modified GPS (mGPS), prognostic nutritional index (PNI), geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI), and platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were calculated from the blood test results. In the infectious group, the white blood cell count, platelet count, CRP level, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, CAR, GPS, mGPS, and PLR were significantly higher, while the albumin level, AGR, PNI, and GNRI were significantly lower. The CRP and albumin levels showed the highest sensitivity (1.00 for both; specificity of 0.87 and 0.73, respectively) in diagnosing infectious RHD. Combining these measurements (CAR) increased the specificity to 0.92. The accuracy of other nutritional assessments was good. Thus, nutritional assessment as well as conventional assessment of the inflammatory response can improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of infectious RHD.
