Ablation success 34/36 ATs (94%); success could not be assessed in 8 circuits, in 6 due to mechanical conversion to sinus rhythm at the target fragmented site. Fragmented electrograms within the AT circuits were longer than electrograms outside the circuits (110 ± 30 vs 90 ± 15ms, p < 0.001). A fragmentation duration > 100ms/ > 40% of the AT cycle length predicted to be a successful site for ablation with 72.3%/73.8% specificity, respectively. Sixty-two percent of the patients were free from atrial arrhythmias at 1year.

Most ATs had detectable fragmented electrograms within the circuit, which could be the target of ablation with high efficacy.

Microbial community is one of the diversified communities of the marine environment. Studies have shown that microorganisms isolated from the marine environment are metabolically active and have adapted to life in the ocean. The marine microorganisms use various survival strategies to combat heavy metal stress and decolorization of various textile dyes, thus playing an important role in the bioremediation of cadmium and degradation of textile dyes. The present study deals with the isolation and 16S rRNA molecular characterization of M3 and M8 bacterial strains isolated from marine water samples collected from Visakhapatnam harbor. M3 and M8 isolates were also checked for their efficacy in the removal of cadmium and decolorization of various textile dyes from the environment.

The water sample was subjected to tube dilution method to isolate bacterial strains, and ten different isolates were screened. The biochemical tests were performed for the isolates to prove their validity and 16S rRNA molecular sequencing and phylogenetic analysis for species identification. Out of interest, two bacterial strains, namely, M3 and M8 were subjected to 16S rRNA molecular sequencing and phylogenetic analysis and were identified as Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas resinovorans. The two bacterial strains showed promising dye degradation property when checked with nine different textile dyes of wavelength ranging from 400 to 600 nm and removal of cadmium from the growth medium.

The present study demonstrates the isolates M3 and M8 to be potential strains having dye decolorization and bioremediation of cadmium applications.

Social distancing and home-schooling are just two of many stress factors for this age group. The aim of this study was to assess stress in high-school students after a semester of home-schooling. A cross-sectional online survey (February 3rd to 28th 2021) was performed, measuring stress with the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) in Austria. In total, N = 2884 students (age M = 16.47 (SD = 1.44); 70.4% females) completed the survey. Mean PSS-10 score was M = 23.50 (SD = 7.47) [females M = 24.69 (SD = 6.80); males M = 20.11 (SD = 7.93); p less then 0.001]. 11.0% reported low stress (females 7.2%; males 20.9%), 52.5% moderate stress (females 51.5%; males 57.3%), and 36.5% high stress (females 41.3%; males 21.8%); p  less then  0.001. Around one-third of high-school students suffer from high stress level, females almost twice as often as males. Psychological support should particularly focus on stress and possibilities to reduce it.The current study evaluated the effect of location and amount of various superdisintegrants on the properties of tablets made by twin-screw melt granulation (TSMG). Sodium-croscarmellose (CCS), crospovidone (CPV), and sodium starch glycolate (SSG) were used in various proportions intra- and extra-granular. Tabletability, compactibility, compressibility as well as friability, disintegration, and dissolution performance were assessed. The extra-granular addition resulted in the fasted disintegration and dissolution. CPV performed superior to CCS and SSG. Even if the solid fraction (SF) of the granules was lower for CPV, only a minor decrease in tabletability was observed, due to the high plastic deformation of the melt granules. The intra-granular addition of CPV resulted in a more prolonged dissolution profile, which could be correlated to a loss in porosity during tableting. The 100% intra-granular addition of the CPV resulted in a distinct decrease of the disintegration efficiency, whereas the performance of SSG was unaffected by the granulation process. CCS was not suitable to be used for the production of an immediate-release formulation, when added in total proportion into the granulation phase, but its efficiency was less impaired compared to CPV. Shortest disintegration (78 s) and dissolution (Q80 4.2 min) was achieved with CPV extra-granular. Using CPV and CCS intra-granular resulted in increased disintegration time and Q80. However, at a higher level of appx. 500 s and appx. 15 min, only SSG showed a process and location independent disintegration and dissolution performance. The diversity of actinobacteria associated with marine ascidian Phallusia nigra from Andaman Islands was investigated. A total of 10 actinobacteria were isolated and based on the biochemical and molecular characterization, the isolates were assigned to 7 different actinobacterial genera. Eight putatively novel species belonging to genera Rhodococcus, Kineococcus, Kocuria, Janibacter, Salinispora and Arthrobacter were identified based on 16S rDNA sequence similarity with the NCBI database. The organic extracts of ten isolates displayed considerable bioactivity against test pathogens, which were Gram-positive and Gram-negative in nature. PCR-based screening for type I and type II polyketide synthases (PKS-I, PKS-II) and nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPS) revealed that, 10 actinobacterial isolates encoded at least one type of polyketide synthases biosynthesis gene. Majority of the isolates found to produce industrially important enzymes; amylase, protease, gelatinase, lipase, DNase, cellulase, urease, phosphatase and L-asparaginase. The present study emphasized that, ascidians are a prolific resource for novel bioactive actinobacteria with potential for novel drug discovery. This result expands the scope to functionally characterize the novel ascidian associated marine actinobacteria and their metabolites could be a source for the novel molecules of commercial interest.Artificial intelligence algorithms are booming in medicine, and the question of biases induced or perpetuated by these tools is a very important topic. There is a greater risk of these biases in radiology, which is now the primary diagnostic tool in modern treatment. Some authors have recently proposed an analysis framework for social inequalities and the biases at risk of being introduced into future algorithms. In our paper, we comment on the different strategies for resolving these biases. We warn that there is an even greater risk in mixing the notion of equity, the definition of which is socio-political, into the design stages of these algorithms. We believe that rather than being beneficial, this could in fact harm the main purpose of these artificial intelligence tools, which is the care of the patient.
Quantitative SPECT enables absolute quantification of uptake in perfusion defects. The aim of this experimental study is to assess quantitative accuracy and precision of a novel iterative reconstruction technique (Evolution; GE Healthcare) for the potential application of response monitoring using
Tc-tetrofosmin SPECT/CT in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).

Acquisitions of an anthropomorphic torso phantom with cardiac insert containing defects (with varying sizes), filled with
Tc-pertechnetate, were performed on a SPECT/CT (Discovery 670 Pro, GE Healthcare). Subsequently, volumes of interest of the defects were manually drawn on CT to assess the recovery coefficient (RC). see more Bull's eye plots were composed to evaluate the uptake per segment. Finally,
Tc-tetrofosmin SPECT/CT scans of 10 CAD patients were used to illustrate clinical application.

The phantom study indicated that Evolution showed convergence after 7 iterations and 10 subsets. The average repeatability deviation of all configura prospective patient studies are required for clinical application.
T-DNA-free homozygous mutant lines developed through a single transcript CRISPR/Cas9 system harboring the desired modification in the CaERF28 locus exhibited significantly enhanced resistance to the anthracnose pathogen Colletotrichum truncatum coupled with the improved expression of defense responsive genes. Anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum species, is a major disease of chilli (Capsicum annuum) accounting for significant pre- and post-harvest yield losses across the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Management of chilli anthracnose using traditional methods have not met with noticeable success. In the present study, we have demonstrated an enhanced anthracnose resistance through a single transcript unit CRISPR/Cas9 mediated alteration of the susceptibility gene CaERF28 in C. annuum. A construct with a single Pol II promoter-driven expression of Cas9, sgRNA and a hammerhead ribozyme (RZ) was designed to modify the CaERF28 gene in the susceptible chilli genotype Arka Lohit. Fourty-five C-Eidentified from 62 T0 transgenic plants. Further, simultaneously targeted multiple sites within CaERF28 showed increased mutation (85.7%) efficiency. DNA sequence analysis showed that these plants harboured multiple InDels at the target site. The allelic mutants of C-ERF28 were transferred to the following generations by simple Mendelian inheritance. Segregation in the T1 and T2 generations resulted in the identification of T-DNA free and marker-free C-ERF28 mutant lines. Five homozygous mutants demonstrated enhanced resistance to anthracnose compared to wild type as demonstrated by reduced spore count and fungal growth as well as induced expression of defense-related genes. Our results demonstrated that the STU-CRISPR/Cas9 mediated editing of the CaERF28 gene is a rapid, safe and versatile approach for enhancing anthracnose resistance in chilli pepper and pave way for its utilization in the improvement of other solanaceous crops.Chronic inflammation induces proinflammatory cytokine cascades. In addition to systemic inflammation, hypoxemia, hypercapnia, a catabolic metabolism, gonadal or thyroid dysfunction, musculoskeletal dysfunction and inactivity as well as vitamin D deficiency contribute to an increased risk of fragility fractures. Iatrogenic causes of osteoporosis are long-term use of inhaled or systemic glucocorticoids (GC). Inhalative GC application in asthma is often indicated in childhood and adolescence, but interstitial lung diseases such as chronic organizing pneumonia, COPD, sarcoid or rheumatic diseases with lung involvement are also treated with inhalative or oral GC. In patients with cystic fibrosis, malabsorption in the context of pancreatic insufficiency, hypogonadism and chronic inflammation with increased bone resorption lead to a decrease in bone structure. After lung transplantation, immunosuppression with GC is a risk factor. The underlying pneumological diseases lead to a change in the trabecular and cortical bone microarchitecture and to a reduction in osteological formation and resorption markers.
