We retrospectively identified 78 HL patients who underwent ASCT after receiving an anti-PD-1 mAb (alone or in combination) as third-line or later therapy across 22 centers. Chemorefractory disease was common, including 42 patients (54%) refractory to ≥2 consecutive systemic therapies immediately before anti-PD-1 treatment. Fifty-eight (74%) patients underwent ASCT after anti-PD-1 treatment, while 20 patients (26%) received additional therapy after PD-1 blockade and before ASCT. Patients received a median of 4 systemic therapies (range, 3-7) before ASCT, and 31 patients (41%) had a positive pre-ASCT positron emission tomography (PET) result. After a median post-ASCT follow-up of 19.6 months, the 18-month progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival were 81% (95% CI, 69-89) and 96% (95% confidence interval [CI], 87-99), respectively. Favorable outcomes were observed for patients who were refractory to 2 consecutive therapies immediately before PD-1 blockade (18-month PFS, 78%), had a positive pre-ASCT PET (18-month PFS, 75%), or received ≥4 systemic therapies before ASCT (18-month PFS, 73%), while PD-1 nonresponders had inferior outcomes (18-month PFS, 51%). In this single-center prospective observational cohort study, we assessed the safety and reactogenicity of RZV, as well as incidence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and confirmed cases of HZ after vaccination. Between December of 2018 and June of 2020, patients aged ≥18 years received 2 doses of RZV between 9 and 24 months after HCT, with the doses separated by ≥8 weeks. One hundred and fifty-eight patients (mean age, 55 years; 42% women) received ≥1 dose (total vaccinated cohort), and 150 patients (95%) received 2 doses (modified total vaccinated cohort). Between 2004 and 2019, a total of 3974 children aged 3 months to 16 years were included. Secondary ITP and non-IT were reported in 113 patients (63 female subjects). Infectious (n = 53) and autoimmune (n = 42) diseases were identified as the main causes, with median ages at diagnosis of 3.2 years (interquartile range 1.2; 6.7 years) and 12.4 years (interquartile range 7.6; 13.7 years), respectively. Other causes included malignancies, aplastic anemia, immunodeficiency, and drug use. Patients with malignancy and aplastic anemia had significantly higher initial platelet counts (37 and 52 × 109/L) than did those with infection or autoimmune diseases (12 and 13 × 109/L). Characteristics of patients with secondary ITP due to infection were similar to those of children with primary ITP at first presentation, indicating similar mechanisms. The prognostic impact of omitting AHCT is also understudied. We identified all MCL patients diagnosed from 2000 to 2014, aged 18 to 65 years, in the Swedish Lymphoma Register. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) from logistic regression models were used to compare the likelihood of AHCT within 18 months of diagnosis. All-cause mortality was compared between patients treated with/without AHCT using hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% CIs estimated from Cox regression models. Probabilities of being in each of the following states alive without AHCT, alive with AHCT, dead before AHCT, and dead after AHCT, were estimated over time from an illness-death model. Among 369 patients, 148 (40%) were not treated with AHCT within 18 months. Compared with married patients, never married and divorced patients had lower likelihood of undergoing AHCT, as had patients with lower educational level, and comorbid patients. Receiving AHCT was associated with reduced all-cause mortality (HR = 0.58, 95% CI 0.40-0.85). Transplantation-related mortality was low (2%). MCL patients not receiving an AHCT had an increased mortality rate, and furthermore, an undue concern about performing an AHCT in certain societal groups was seen. We have collated PTP interactome and cell adhesome datasets, which reveal extensive connections between PTPs and cell adhesions that are relatively unexplored. Retrospective cohort study of all adult hospitalizations to a large academic medical center from 1/2007 to 7/2013. We excluded patients admitted for a primary psychiatric disorder. Medication exposures of interest, defined by pharmacy charges, included benzodiazepines, non-benzodiazepine benzodiazepine receptor agonists (BZRAs), trazodone, atypical antipsychotics, and diphenhydramine. In-hospital falls were ascertained from an online patient safety reporting system.

Among the 225,498 hospitalizations (median age = 57 years; 57.9% female) in our cohort, 84,911 (37.7%) had exposure to at least one of the five medication classes of interest; benzodiazepines were the most commonly used (23.5%), followed by diphenydramine (8.3%), trazodone (6.6%), BZRAs (6.4%), and atypical antipsychotics (6.3%). A fall occurred in 2,427 hospitalizations (1.1%). The rate of falls per 1,000 hospital days was greater among hospitalizations with exposure to each of the medications of interest, compared to unexposed 3.6 versus 1.7 for benzodiazepines (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 1.8, 95%CI 1.6-1.9); 5.4 versus 1.8 for atypical antipsychotics (aHR 1.6, 95%CI 1.4-1.8); 3.0 versus 2.0 for BZRAs (aHR 1.5, 95%CI 1.3-1.8); 3.3 versus 2.0 for trazodone (aHR 1.2, 95%CI 1.1-1.5); and 2.5 versus 2.0 for diphenhydramine (aHR 1.2, 95%CI 1.03-1.5).
