1 criteria. Median CNS-PFS was 3.39 months (95CI (3.02-3.76)). Cox univariate analysis identified molecular subtype as the only prognostic parameter in our cohort, with patients with hormone-receptor positive tumors less likely to experience CNS progression than those with triple-negative MBC (HR = 0.23 (95CI = 0.07-0.80),
= 0.021). Median extra-cranial PFS was 2.67 months (95CI (2.33-3.01)). Median OS was 7.68 months (95CI (0-17.41)).

Eribulin seems to have only a limited impact on BM evolution. Hormone receptors expression may identify a subset of patients with better BM control.

The number of voids within the root canal obturation is a relevant parameter to describe the quality of the technique, as well as to predict long-term prognosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of root canal obturation in curved root canals filled with Thermafil, GuttaCore, GuttaFusion and lateral compaction with AH Plus and EndoSequence BC sealer, by means of percentage of gutta-percha and sealer filled area.

200 curved canals of mandibular molars were divided in five groups (
= 40). Each specimen was evaluated at 3, 6 and 9 mm from the apex. A total of 600 samples were analyzed. Obturation was performed with either Thermafil (TH), GuttaCore (GC), GuttaFusion (GF) or lateral compaction (LC), using AH Plus as sealer. In another group EndoSequence BC sealer (BC) was used. Subgroups (
= 20) were made depending on the use of sonic activation during the placement of the sealer. The percentage of total obturation material was analyzed as an indirect measurement of percentage of voids.

GF showed a better performance at the apical level, while GC showed the higher percentage of total obturation at the coronal area. No differences were observed for the activation of sealers in any of the groups. Statistical analysis was performed by using two-way ANOVA. Statistical significance was set at CI 95% (
< 0.05).

Sonic activation of sealers did not show any benefit to avoid the presence of voids within obturation of curved canals. Following the manufacturer recommendations, we found that TH did not show benefits when applied to curved canals.

However, the precise structures of FGs usually vary in a species-specific manner. In this study, HfFG was isolated from Holothuria floridana and purified by anion exchange chromatography with the yield of ~0.9%. HfFG was composed of GlcA, GalNAc and Fuc, its molecular weight was 47.3 kDa, and the -OSO3-/-COO- molar ratio was 3.756. HfFG was depolymerized by a partial deacetylation-deaminative cleavage method to obtain the low-molecular-weight HfFG (dHfFG). Three oligosaccharide fragments (Fr-1, Fr-2, Fr-3) with different molecular weights were isolated from the dHfFG, and their structures were revealed by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. HfFG should be composed of repeating trisaccharide units -(L-FucS-α1,3-)d-GlcA-β1,3-d-GalNAc4S6S-β1,4--, in which sulfated fucose (FucS) includes Fuc2S4S, Fuc3S4S and Fuc4S residues linked to O-3 of GlcA in a ratio of 453520. Furthermore, the heparanase inhibitory activities of native HfFG and oligosaccharide fragments (Fr-1, Fr-2, Fr-3) were evaluated. The native HfFG and its oligosaccharides exhibited heparanase inhibitory activities, and the activities increased with the increase of molecular weight. Additionally, structural characteristics such as sulfation patterns, the terminal structure of oligosaccharides and the presence of fucosyl branches may be important factors affecting heparanase inhibiting activity.Human activity recognition (HAR) remains a challenging yet crucial problem to address in computer vision. HAR is primarily intended to be used with other technologies, such as the Internet of Things, to assist in healthcare and eldercare. With the development of deep learning, automatic high-level feature extraction has become a possibility and has been used to optimize HAR performance. Furthermore, deep-learning techniques have been applied in various fields for sensor-based HAR. This study introduces a new methodology using convolution neural networks (CNN) with varying kernel dimensions along with bi-directional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) to capture features at various resolutions. The novelty of this research lies in the effective selection of the optimal video representation and in the effective extraction of spatial and temporal features from sensor data using traditional CNN and BiLSTM. Wireless sensor data mining (WISDM) and UCI datasets are used for this proposed methodology in which data are collected through diverse methods, including accelerometers, sensors, and gyroscopes. The results indicate that the proposed scheme is efficient in improving HAR. It was thus found that unlike other available methods, the proposed method improved accuracy, attaining a higher score in the WISDM dataset compared to the UCI dataset (98.53% vs. 97.05%).A series of novel nopol derivatives bearing the 1,3,4-thiadiazole-thiourea moiety were designed and synthesized by multi-step reactions in search of potent natural product-based antifungal agents. Their structures were confirmed by FT-IR, NMR, ESI-MS, and elemental analysis. Poziotinib Antifungal activity of the target compounds was preliminarily evaluated by in vitro methods against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum, Cercospora arachidicola, Physalospora piricola, Alternaria solani, Gibberella zeae, Rhizoeotnia solani, Bipolaris maydis, and Colleterichum orbicalare at 50 µg/mL. All the target compounds exhibited better antifungal activity against P. piricola, C. arachidicola, and A. solani. Compound 6j (R = m, p-Cl Ph) showed the best broad-spectrum antifungal activity against all the tested fungi. Compounds 6c (R = m-Me Ph), 6q (R = i-Pr), and 6i (R = p-Cl Ph) had inhibition rates of 86.1%, 86.1%, and 80.2%, respectively, against P. piricola, much better than that of the positive control chlorothalonil. Moreover, compounds 6h (R = m-Cl Ph) and 6n (R = o-CF3 Ph) held inhibition rates of 80.6% and 79.0% against C. arachidicola and G. zeae, respectively, much better than that of the commercial fungicide chlorothalonil. In order to design more effective antifungal compounds against A. solani, analysis of the three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) was carried out using the CoMFA method, and a reasonable and effective 3D-QSAR model (r2 = 0.992, q2 = 0.753) has been established. Furthermore, some intriguing structure-activity relationships were found and are discussed by theoretical calculation. With the significant advancement of sensor and communication technology and the reliable application of obstacle detection techniques and algorithms, automated driving is becoming a pivotal technology that can revolutionize the future of transportation and mobility. Sensors are fundamental to the perception of vehicle surroundings in an automated driving system, and the use and performance of multiple integrated sensors can directly determine the safety and feasibility of automated driving vehicles. Sensor calibration is the foundation block of any autonomous system and its constituent sensors and must be performed correctly before sensor fusion and obstacle detection processes may be implemented. This paper evaluates the capabilities and the technical performance of sensors which are commonly employed in autonomous vehicles, primarily focusing on a large selection of vision cameras, LiDAR sensors, and radar sensors and the various conditions in which such sensors may operate in practice. We present an overview of the three primary categories of sensor calibration and review existing open-source calibration packages for multi-sensor calibration and their compatibility with numerous commercial sensors. We also summarize the three main approaches to sensor fusion and review current state-of-the-art multi-sensor fusion techniques and algorithms for object detection in autonomous driving applications. The current paper, therefore, provides an end-to-end review of the hardware and software methods required for sensor fusion object detection. We conclude by highlighting some of the challenges in the sensor fusion field and propose possible future research directions for automated driving systems. The paper discusses the problems connected with long-term exploitation of reinforced concrete post-tensioned girders. The scale of problems in the world related to the number of cable post-tensioned concrete girders built in the 1950s and still in operation is very large and possibly has very serious consequences. The paper presents an analysis and evaluation of the results of measurements of the deflection and strength and homogeneity of concrete in cable-concrete roof girders of selected industrial halls located in Poland, exploited for over 50 years. On the basis of the results of displacement monitoring in the years 2009-2020, the maximum increments of deflection of the analyzed girders were determined. Non-destructive, destructive, and indirect evaluation methods were used to determine the compressive strength of concrete. Within the framework of the indirect method recommended in standard PN-EN 13791, a procedure was proposed by the authors to modify the so-called base curve for determining compressive strength. Due to the age of the analyzed structural elements, a correction factor for the age of concrete was taken into account in the strength assessment. The typical value of the characteristic compressive strength is within the range 20.3-28.4 MPa. As a result of the conducted tests, the concrete class assumed in the design was not confirmed, and its classification depended on the applied test method. The analyzed girders, in spite of their long-term exploitation, can be still used for years on the condition that regular periodical inspections of their technical condition are carried out. The authors emphasize the necessity for a permanent and cyclic diagnostic process and monitoring of the geometry of girders, as they are expected to operate much longer than was assumed by their designers.
Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) is a rare pediatric soft tissue neoplasm composed of small round tumor cells with prominent stromal desmoplasia, polyphenotypic differentiation and
gene fusion. We, herein, present a unique case of DSRCT, exhibiting a pure spindle cell morphology, absence of desmoplastic stroma and showing a novel
fusion transcript.

A 12-year-old boy presented multiple intra-abdominal, confluent and mass-forming nodules that affected the entire abdominal and pelvic cavities.

Histologically, the nodules were composed of spindle cells with scant cytoplasm and oval nuclei arranged into short, intersecting fascicles and set in a scant, non-desmoplastic, stroma. Immunohistochemically, neoplastic cells were stained with vimentin, desmin, WT-1 (C-terminus antibodies) and EMA. Reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis showed the presence of an unusual chimeric transcript, composed of an in-frame junction of exon 9 of
to exon 7 of
, confirming the histological diagnosis of DSRCT.
