Objective Total knee replacement after previous open reduction and internal fixation for tibial plateau fracture (conversion total knee) increases the complexity of the procedure and the complication rate. However, very little research exists to report on opioid use and cost associated with total knee arthroplasty (TKA) following tibial plateau fracture fixation as compared to primary TKA patients with no history of tibial plateau fracture. The aim of this study is to compare the differences in opioid use, reimbursements, and complication rates between patients with and without a history of tibial plateau fracture undergoing TKA. Methods and materials This is a retrospective large database review study. The study included patients across the country and in various clinical settings including, but not limited to, institutions, primary and tertiary care centers, and private practice. The PearlDiver database was reviewed for patients undergoing TKA between 2010 and 2019. However, data on SDB in lung cancer patients are lacking, and few studies have conducted level I polysomnography (PSG) in this patient population. This study aimed to measure SDB in newly diagnosed lung cancer patients at the sleep clinic of a tertiary respiratory institute in New Delhi, India, for eight months. This study included 30 patients. Participants received a clinical examination, completed a sleep questionnaire, and then underwent overnight PSG. We scored sleep parameters according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine guidelines. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. We present the case of a 53-year-old female who presented with a breast mass noted to be concerning on imaging and confirmed to be ACC on biopsy. The mass was amenable to surgical excision with referrals to medical and radiation oncology. Due to the rarity of the disease, there is no consensus regarding the optimal treatment strategy for the pathology, including the use of chemotherapy and radiation. Long-term follow-up is, however, recommended in order to monitor for recurrence.Coxsackie B infections can have varying clinical presentations. Necrotizing myopathy and rhabdomyolysis with remarkably high creatine phosphokinase levels is a rare complication associated with high morbidity and mortality. Methods In this cross-sectional study, patients' and their informal caregivers' characteristics were recorded for 311 patient-caregiver dyads. Subjective caregiver burden and caregivers' anxiety were assessed by using the Zarit Burden Interview and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), respectively. Correlation coefficients and path analysis were used to examine the relationship between variables. Caregivers' anxiety was considered as the outcome variable. We present the case of a 58-year-old woman with a history of schizophrenia who received the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine and developed severe rhabdomyolysis. She required renal replacement therapy and fully recovered with possible transient autoimmune activity. This study was conducted to assess the safety and efficacy of a topically applied face serum, MYOWNN™ (Wockhardt Ltd., Mumbai, India). MYOWNN™ is an autologous growth factor concentrate that has been made into a topical face serum. Methods Male and female subjects in the age group between 30 and 55 years (both inclusive) with Fitzpatrick skin type III-V who had not taken any oral or topical treatments for at least four weeks before and any platelet-rich plasma (PRP) based facial trea factor and baseline assessment result as a covariate. All primary and secondary efficacy endpoints were analyzed using Modified Intent-to-Treat (mITT) populations. Results Improvement in an average of six anti-aging parameters was observed as early as three months while statistically significant improvement was observed by the end of five months of application. A statistically significant improvement in wrinkles was observed by the end of three months of the application itself. There were no product-related adverse events reported. Conclusions Five months of application of MYOWNN™ serum showed a statistically significant improvement in an average of six parameters of anti-aging and face rejuvenation with a p-value of 0.0150 ( less then 5% level of significance (i.e. 0.05) and was also well-tolerated.Rhabdomyolysis is a condition characterized by the destruction of the skeletal muscle and the release of its content into the circulation, and it can cause acute kidney injury (AKI). There are numerous causes for the development of this condition, and some of them are rare. Levetiracetam, an antiepileptic agent, has been speculated as a rare possibility for the development of rhabdomyolysis. In this report, we highlight a case of a 36-year-old gentleman with retinoblastoma since childhood, who was maintained on levetiracetam for two years for epilepsy. He was brought to our hospital with a history of generalized fatigue and unwitnessed seizure. Upon further investigations, he was found to have severe rhabdomyolysis and AKI that required renal replacement therapy. Levetiracetam was suspected as a culprit and therefore was discontinued with gradual improvement of renal function over a few months.The Dominican government started an early booster protocol, including a heterogeneous vaccination sequence needed based on availability. We report a case of a 25-year-old male who presented with jaundice, and vomiting for 6 days, associated with maculopapular rash (Mucocutaneous features), elevated pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (pro-BNP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), transaminitis (> 1000 U/L), thrombocytopenia, echocardiogram evidenced stigmata of heart failure after his third dose of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccination. He was started on steroids and immunoglobulin therapy for multisystemic organ failure syndrome. A significant improvement was noticed, then was discharge; in the post-discharge clinic, he was asymptomatic, inflammatory markers improved, and the echocardiogram showed a recovered ejection fraction. An accurate anamnesis, including a proper chronologic gathering of the events, is essential to recognize a vaccine-multisystem inflammatory syndrome; its prompt assessment and therapy would directly improve the outcome.
