Hence, we aimed to review the available evidence on the potential roles of EVs in ONFH systematically. The PubMed, EMBASE, and Science Citation Index databases were searched exhaustively from inception to June 2020. All in vitro and in vivo studies on the use of EVs in ONFH diagnosis and treatment were included. The final analysis included 14 studies. These studies were categorised according to the cell source, target cell types, secreted product types, production method, storage, and study design. The animal model, together with the ONFH induction method, used in the in vivo studies was also considered. For in vivo studies, effects on cellular proliferation and apoptosis and bone and vascular tissues and biomarkers for ONFH diagnosis were assessed, whereas in the in vitro studies, effects on EVs internalization; proliferation, viability, and migration; osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation; apoptosis; and angiogenesis were evaluated. Both in vitro and in vivo studies showed promoting effects of EVs on proliferation, osteogenic differentiation, and angiogenesis and inhibitory effects on apoptosis and adipogenic differentiation in both glucocorticoid-induced and traumatic ONFH models. Additionally, EVs in blood showed diagnostic potential for ONFH. This systemic review provides a deeper understanding of the role of EVs, thereby facilitating the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Dissociative symptoms are a type of phenomenon which is present in a wide variety of psychopathological disorders. It is therefore necessary to develop scales that measure this type of experience for therapy and research. Starting out from the bipartite model of dissociation, this study intended to adapt and validate the Detachment and Compartmentalization Inventory (DCI) in Spanish.

For this, 308 participants (268 from the community population and 40 with psychiatric pathology) completed the DCI, the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES-II), the Somatoform Dissociation Questionnaire (SDQ20) and the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS).

The results showed that the Spanish version has a two-factor structure similar to the original version and was invariant across participants. The reliability of DCI scores was adequate and acquired evidence of validity related to other instruments.

A high prevalence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCSs) in anxiety-depressive disorders ranging from 30 to 67% has been described.

This study aims to assess the presence and persistence of OCSs in an outpatient sample of subjects with anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as its relationship with recent life events (RLEs) and/or traumatic experiences (TEs).

We conducted a prospective, observational, analytical study of 200 subjects with DSM-5 diagnoses of anxiety and/or depression. Participants were included by consecutive sampling and were evaluated at baseline and after 6-12 months (mean 8.5 months) of follow-up. The severity of the symptoms was assessed through the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HARS) and Hamilton Scale for the evaluation of depression (HRSD-17), and comorbidity was assessed through the International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI). The Revised Inventory of Obsessions and Compulsions (OCI-R), the Recent Vital Changes Questionnaire (CVSV), and the Diagnostic Scale for Post-Traumatic TEs and RLEs had higher OCS levels. These findings highlight the importance of early detection and the use of therapeutic strategies focused on resilience to stress and trauma.

The objectives of this study were to (1) identify student pharmacists' attitudes toward pharmacist-prescribed hormonal contraception (HC), (2) identify student pharmacist perceived barriers regarding pharmacist-prescribed HC, and (3) explore what factors affect student pharmacists' viewpoints.

An anonymous survey was administered using Qualtrics among third-year student pharmacists in a public health course. The survey was developed using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and previously published literature. TPB was developed to predict an individuals' intention to engage in a behavior at a specific time and place. All responses were anonymous. Survey responses were summarized using descriptive statistics, and Wilcoxon Mann-Whitney test was used to compare differences based on student pharmacist gender and religand a professional responsibly to prescribe HC. The pharmacy profession is shifting from transactional dispensing of medication to a more comprehensive, patient-centered model of care. Collaborative practice agreements (CPAs) extend the role of a pharmacist to initiate, monitor, modify, and discontinue drug therapies and provide other clinical services. Although collaborative practice has been shown to improve health system efficiency and patient outcomes, little is known about how pharmacists perceive CPAs. To explore pharmacists' perspectives of CPAs, including barriers and facilitators to CPA implementation.

Semistructured key informant interviews were used to elicit information from licensed pharmacists practicing in a variety of settings in Arizona. Thematic analysis was used to identify key qualitative themes.

Patient engagement is an important aspect in improving patient outcomes. However, there is a paucity of literature regarding patient engagement in a nonresearch health care setting and the impacts of ambulatory clinical pharmacist interventions. Patient engagement has several definitions making it challenging to assess, but attendance to initial primary care provider (PCP) visits is an important aspect of patient engagement.

The study objective was to assess if improved patient engagement, defined as attendance to an initial PCP visit, was associated with differences in services provided or pharmacist participation during postdischarge clinic appointments.

The site of this study was the Johns Hopkins After Care Clinic (JHACC), an interdisciplinary postdischarge, safety net clinic in Baltimore, MD.

Through an interdisciplinary health care team including pharmacists, patients received comprehensive care to assist with postacute disease-state management and transitions of care.

Initial PCP visit attendues, the positive effects of pharmacist involvement in this area could support their value in ambulatory care services.
This study suggests ambulatory clinical pharmacy specialists' roles in an interdisciplinary clinic model correlates with increased attendance to initial PCP visits, a surrogate for patient engagement. Disease-state education and medication education are both important activities in improving this measure; however, additional research is necessary to determine specific pharmacist interventions associated with patient engagement. As research in patient engagement continues, the positive effects of pharmacist involvement in this area could support their value in ambulatory care services.
