If you run a D2C business that is into selling fashion & accessories-related products online with AOV below 5000/-, then this is what your cost structure should look like.

Your material cost should ideally not be more than 35 - 40 % of the selling price This includes packaging cost.

The logistics cost should be roughly between 15 - 20 % including charges for RTOs & COD.

Your digital ad spend should be between 15 - 25%. If it's more than that know & is not reducing every quarter then you won't be able to make profits in future.

Your end variable profit per sale should be 15 to 25 percent of the selling price. If it's less than 15% then sorry to break it to you. These margins are going to get thinner with time and you might end up incurring a loss.
