Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019) has been recognized as a global threat, and several studies are being conducted using various mathematical models to predict the probable evolution of this epidemic. These mathematical models based on various factors and analyses are subject to potential bias. Here, we propose a simple econometric model that could be useful to predict the spread of COVID-2019. We performed Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model prediction on the Johns Hopkins epidemiological data to predict the epidemiological trend of the prevalence and incidence of COVID-2019. For further comparison or for future perspective, case definition and data collection have to be maintained in real time. © 2020 The Authors. Here we show the electrochemical data for a Ferroelectric Electrolyte Battery (FEB) Li/ferroelectric Li-glass electrolyte (Li2·99Ba0·005ClO) in cellulose/γ-MnO2 pouch-cell with (2.5 × 2.5 cm2) discharged with a green LED load. The Li2·99Ba0·005ClO electrolyte was synthesized and ground in ethanol. A cellulose matrix was dipped into the Li-glass/ethanol slurry. The γ-MnO2 based cathode was doctor bladed onto a carbon-coated aluminum foil current collector. The cell was assembled in an Ar-filled glove-box and it was not sealed and, therefore, it remained inside the glove-box while discharging with a green LED at approximately 24 °C for 334 days (>11 months) corresponding to 764 mAhg-1 of the active cathode and to 224 mAhg-1 of the electrolyte. The maximum capacity of γ-MnO2 is 209 mAhg-1 and of the MnO2 in the commercial cell is 308 mAhg-1, corresponding to LiMnO2; therefore, the capacity of the FEB is 370% the capacity of the γ-MnO2 and 250% the capacity of the MnO2 in the commercial cell. Moreover, the experimental capacity of the electrolyte minus the maximum capacity of the γ-MnO2 is 163 mAhg-1 of the electrolyte. The potential difference between anode and cathode in a diode is non-linear and dependent on the input current and, therefore, the plateaus in the potential vs time curves do not correspond to thermodynamic equilibria of the electrochemical cell energy source. Nevertheless, the maximum output current as well as the FEB cell's discharge profile may be determined with an LED and compared with traditional battery cells' profiles. The present data might be used by the electrochemical (in particular, battery), electrostatic and ferroelectric materials researchers and industrials for comparative analysis. Furthermore, it can be reused to calculate the maximum energy stored electrostatically in these devices. © 2020 The Author(s).Banana is a climacteric fruit and its ripening process is greatly influenced by presence of ethylene. This physiological climacteric characteristic of banana fruit leads to a fast ripening and a short shelf-life. Application of edible coating such as chitosan aims to prolong fruit shelf life. The knowledge on gene expression will help to understand the fruit ripening process itself and chitosan effect on global gene expression. Global gene expression data of chitosan treated and control of Cavendish banana during fruit ripening were provided. Total RNA was isolated from banana pulp for differential gene expression analysis. The RNA-sequencing generated ranged from 16,155,947 to 23,587,110 total reads, with 75.8%-83.8% of reads were mapped against the genome reference. In total, 33,797-35,944 transcripts were detected. The transcriptomics data discussed in this publication are accessible through NCBI's Gene Expression Omnibus with GEO Series accession number GSE139457. These data provide information to identify candidate genes involved in fruit ripening in response to chitosan coating to design a better banana postharvest management. © 2020 The Authors.microRNAs (miRNAs) are an abundant class of non-coding RNA species with important regulatory roles in gene expression at the posttranscriptional level. The helminth Acanthocheilonema viteae serves as model organism for research on parasitic filarial nematodes. Total RNA secreted or excreted in vitro by 1500 adult female and male A. viteae over 3 weeks was isolated from culture media previously processed by differential ultracentrifugation. miRNA sequencing revealed the presence of 360 unique miRNA candidates released by adult A. viteae in vitro. Among them, 74 high-confidence unique miRNAs, as well as several potential novel miRNA candidates were discovered. A large proportion of the sequenced miRNA candidates appeared differentially expressed between the male and female samples based on normalized copy count. The presence of extracellular vesicles, often rich in miRNAs, could not be confirmed unambiguously by transmission electron microscopy. © 2020 The Author(s).Spinal cord herniation (SCH) is a rare cause of myelopathy. When reported, SCH has most commonly been described as occurring spontaneously in the thoracic spine, and being idiopathic in nature (anterior thoracic spinal cord herniation, ATSCH) [1-3]. Several theories have been proposed to explain its occurrence, including congenital, inflammatory, and traumatic etiologies alike [1-4]. Even more rarely, SCH has been described to occur in the cervical spine in association with brachial plexus avulsion injuries (BPAI-SCH). In our accompanying article, "Late Cervical Spinal Cord Herniation Resulting from Post-Traumatic Brachial Plexus Avulsion Injury," two cases of BPAI-SCH are presented and discussed in the context of the reviewed literature [5]. Here, pertinent accompanying follow-up data was collected and is presented for the cases, including postoperative radiographic outcome imaging. Furthermore, a table is presented comparing and contrasting ATSCH to BPAI-SCH. Although the two phenomena have been previously grouped together, this table highlights ATSCH and BPAI-SCH as distinct entities; more specifically, BPAI-SCH is a separate, long-term complicating feature of BPAI. This supplementary data helps treating physicians by increasing awareness and knowledge of BPAI-SCH as a distinct entity from ATSCH and cause of delayed neurological deterioration. © 2020 The Author(s).Coastal marine sediments receive intensive stress from urbanization and industrialization, which is manifested by increased contents of heavy metals and organic pollutants. Saronikos Gulf and the small embayment of Elefsis, stretch along the coast of the greater Athens and Pireaus port, the most urbanized and industrialized areas in Greece. Here we present the data of a 20-year geochemical record on grain-size, organic carbon, and major and trace elements contents of the Saronikos Gulf sediments. A total of 216 sediment samples were collected within the period of 1999-2018 from the four sub-sectors of the gulf, namely, the Elefsis Bay, the Inner, Outer, and Western (Megara and Epidavros basin) Saronikos Gulf. Additionally, at least one core was obtained from each sub-sector. Sediments deposited at pre-industrial periods were recognized by 14C and 210Pb dating, and served for establishing regionalized background levels of metals. Factor analysis was conducted to reveal the inter-parametric relationships, thus their common sources, as well as transport and deposition pathways. Then, Enrichment Factors and the multi-elemental Modified Pollution Index (MPI) were calculated to assess the current environmental status of the sediments. Data of sampling sites with at least a five-year record, were assessed for temporal trends, to explore whether sustained, increasing or decreasing trends of the MPI are observed. The dataset and analyses presented here support the research article entitled Geochemistry of major and trace elements in surface sediments of the Saronikos Gulf (Greece) assessment of contamination between 1999 and 2018 [1]. © 2020 The Authors. This data article presents the diversity of flora and selected fauna in Tasik Kenyir, Malaysia. This man-made lake once suffered huge loss of biodiversity for allowing an earth-dam construction during 1980s. Series of publications on different types of target taxa have been published separately after the post-dam construction. A biodiversity assessment was conducted in Tasik Kenyir from March 2015 until February 2016. The one year assessment were compiled with the previous published data to document and updated the biodiversity checklist in the lake. The data show that Tasik Kenyir is occupied by 113 tree species, 217 butterfly species, 35 bee species, 26 reptile species, 267 aves species and 153 mammal species. The micro-climate data was downloaded from the Malaysian Meteorological Department and analysed in R Studio to highlight the relationship between climate data and biodiversity data. © 2020 Published by Elsevier Inc.This article presents a dataset of thermal and visible aerial images of the same flat scene at Melendez campus of Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia. The images were acquired using an UAV equipped with either a thermal or a visible camera. The dataset is useful for testing techniques for the improvement, registration and fusion of multi-modal and multi-spectral images. The dataset consists of 30 visible images and their metadata, 80 thermal images and their metadata, and a visible georeferenced orthoimage. The metadata related to every image contains the WGS84 coordinates for allocating the images. Also, the homography matrices between every image and the orthoimage are included in the dataset. The images and homographies are compatible with the well-known assessment protocol for detection and description proposed by Mikolajczyk and Schmid [1]. © 2020 The Authors. This data article contains data related to the research article entitled "α-Humulene inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell proliferation and induces apoptosis through the inhibition of Akt signaling" (Chen et al., 2019) [1]. The article focuses on the antiproliferation of α-Humulene (HML) and the mechanisms involved in HCC cells inhibition. In this data, cytotoxicity of HML in several HCC cell lines are reported, together with the changes in proteins involving in p53 and Akt downstream. Weight curve, blood biochemical parameters and organ indices from HepG2-bearing nude mouse model are also provided, suggesting the potential side effects in HML administration. © 2020 The Author(s).The data presented in this article relate to the research article entitled "assessing psychological adaptation during polar winter-overs The isolated and confined environments questionnaire (ICE-Q)" [1]. These data were acquired in order to develop a standardized instrument - the ICE-Q - designed to assess psychological adaptation within isolated, confined, and extreme environments. A total of 140 winterers from several sub-Antarctic (Amsterdam, Crozet, Kerguelen) and Antarctic (Concordia, Terre Adélie) stations voluntarily participated. Data were collected by multiple self-report questionnaires including a wide variety of well-known and validated questionnaires to record the winterers' responses to polar stations. Data were gathered across two or three winter seasons within each of the 5 polar stations to ensure sufficiently large sample. From four to seven measurement time along a one-year period were proposed to the participants, resulting in 479 momentary assessments. Results of exploratory factor analyses, confirmatory factor analyses, exploratory structural equation modelling, reliability analyses, and test-retest provided strong evidence for the construct validity of the ICE-Q (19-item 4-factor questionnaire).
