To identify Endometriosis Nurse Specialists' roles and responsibilities in accredited Endocentres, how these align with the Royal College of Nursing Skills Framework and potential for development to improve patient care.

Cross-sectional national survey.

Data were collected from an online survey distributed to all 66 Endometriosis Nurse Specialists working across 58 UK-based Endometriosis registered centres. The response rate was 58% (
=38). Data from closed questions were analysed using descriptive statistics, and free text responses were collated and analysed thematically.

Unlike Nurse Specialists in other fields of practice, most Endometriosis Nurse Specialists (
=33, 87%) had another nursing role. The median hours worked per week as an endometriosis nurse was only 13.5hr. Most respondents (
=35, 92%) spent all or most of their allocated hours collecting and inputting endometriosis data, whilst over a third (
=13, 34%) were not undertaking any autonomous, nurse-led patient consultations.

The topics of under-nutrition and over-nutrition are important and have significant roles in adolescent life. These concepts must be explored in adolescents owing to the undesirable effects that being underweight or overweight causes.

To evaluate the nutrition habits among adolescents from King Saud University nursing school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia using the Arabic Version of Moore Index for Nutrition Self Care.

This was a cross-sectional study carried out at a King Saud University nursing school campus to evaluate the Nutrition habits among adolescents. Self-care practises related to nutrition were assessed by using a self-report questionnaire that consisted of 50 items assessed on a five-point Likert scale. Data were collected between January to March 2019.

The study results revealed that most students 120 (85.7%) had fair nutritional habits, while 11 (7.9%) had good nutritional habits and 9 (7.9%) had poor nutritional habits. There was a significant difference between those who exercised regularly (mean 53.42) and those who did not exercise regularly (mean 46.83;
=.002). In addition, simple linear regression revealed that working out regularly was associated with the score on the nutritional questionnaire (
=-6.41;
2.5,
=.01). Results revealed no significant associations between gender or age and (
=.8;
=.9) nutritional score.

To increase levels of good nutritional habits and awareness, it may be useful to adopt educational programs for dietary consumption and physical training promotion.

The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive role of marital satisfaction on similarities in parenting styles.

The present cross-sectional study was conducted on 617 Iranian father-mother dyads in 2018.

During a systematic sampling method, Afrooz Marital Satisfaction Scale and Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire were administered. The data were analysed using a
test, a chi-square test, one-way ANOVA and logistic regression.

Results showed that 71.47% of the couples exhibited agreement in parenting styles and that 82.50% reared their children in an authoritative manner. The logistic regression indicated that increased marital satisfaction among fathers (AOR 3.19; CI 2.06, 4.92) and mothers (AOR 2.74; CI 1.76, 4.25) could elevate the odds of correspondence in parenting styles. The findings suggest that agreement on parenting styles should be considered when evaluating marital satisfaction in couples. Intervention targeting marital satisfaction to improve parental agreement is recommended.

To evaluate the level and identify predictors of nursing students' knowledge and attitudes of pain management.

A cross-sectional design was used to analyse nursing students' knowledge and attitudes about pain management, with the Knowledge and Attitude Survey Regarding Pain (KASRP).

A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from a convenient sample of Saudi nursing students. A total of 193 nursing students from a nursing school at a Saudi university completed the questionnaires.

The student mean knowledge of pain management was 42.6 (
9.1) . The items answered correctly most frequently concerned pain medication and administration. On the other hand, the most commonly incorrect items were mainly related to assessment and pharmacological interventions. Logistic regression analysis found that gender was significantly associated with level of knowledge and attitudes regarding pain management.

To assess the factors that influence the utilization of FANC services among pregnant women.

A cross-sectional quantitative study conducted among 210 postnatal women in Ho Teaching Hospital. Data were entered into Microsoft excel, cleaned and transported to SPSS and analysed. Cross tabulations were used to explore associations between variables.

The respondents indicated that FANC would enable them to receive comprehensive ANC (74.8%). Higher parity was significantly associated with low utilization of FANC (
=.028). Long distance to the health facility, seeking permission to use FANC was significantly associated with low utilization of FANC (
<.001). Fear associated with witchcraft was associated with low FANC utilization (
<.001).

To translate the RLOC Scale into Chinese and test its psychometric properties in the Chinese patients with myocardial infarction (MI).

A cross-sectional design was used.

A convenience sample of 233 patients with MI who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention and were ready for discharge were recruited in a level A tertiary hospital of Shandong Province from January 2019 to April 2019. Data were analysed using item analysis, internal consistency reliability and exploratory factor analysis.

Two factors-external RLOC and internal RLOC-were extracted, accounting for 70.5% of the variance. Cronbach's alpha for the Chinese version of RLOC Scale was 0.80 and for the two factors was 0.92 and 0.76, respectively. The Chinese version of RLOC Scale showed satisfactory reliability and validity, which can be used to measure the ability of recovery locus of control in Chinese patients with MI.

To assess the relationship among perceived nursing group power, organizational trust and patient orientation and identify patient orientation predictors.

Nurses and nursing organizations should use all resources to give care.

Survey data were collected from 193 nurses at six acute care hospitals in South Korea. Characteristics of hospitals and nurses were analysed using
tests, one-way ANOVAs and regression models.

The means for perceived nursing group power, organizational trust and patient orientation were 3.71 (
± 0.58), 3.22 (
± 0.83) and 3.94 (
± 0.53), respectively. Multiple regression analysis revealed that 40% of the variance in patient orientation was explained by perceived nursing group power, organizational trust and work experience.

Hospitals should increase nursing group power and improve organizational trust to enhance patient orientation. Hospital executives and nurse managers should work to enhance nursing group power and positive perceptions of organizational trust, which could contribute to patient orientation.

To describe staff's reflections on aspects influencing pain assessment at end-of-life (EoL) care in nursing homes before and after the implementation of the Abbey Pain Scale (APS).

People with cognitive impairment in the EoL care often suffer from underdiagnosed and undertreated pain due to the lack of knowledge and guidelines for systematic pain assessment.

Semi-structured focus group interviews were conducted and analysed using qualitative content analysis.

The staff described their experiences before the implementation of APS as
while the experiences after the implementation of APS were described as
.

Implementation of APS was experienced as improving systematic pain assessment. Efforts to establish clear routines and improve confidence in the care team would be prioritized to optimize pain assessment and pain relief in EoL care.

To evaluate the effects of a person-centred and thriving-promoting intervention in nursing homes on staff job satisfaction, stress of conscience and the person-centredness of care and of the environment.

A multi-centre, non-equivalent control group, before-after trial design.

Staff (
=341) from six nursing homes in Australia, Norway and Sweden were assigned to the intervention or the control group and both groups were evaluated before the intervention, immediately after and by 6months follow-up. Staff completed a questionnaire about job satisfaction (primary endpoint), stress of conscience and the person-centredness of care and of the environment (secondary endpoints). Linear regression models were used to identify the mean scores and to analyse group differences to test the effects of the intervention.

The intervention had no statistically significant effects on staff job satisfaction, level of stress of conscience or the perceived person-centredness of care and of the environment.
