Hello everyone my name is Barış. I am a software engineering student at Istanbul Aydın University. But now I am in prep school. Today, I want to talk about women's role in the society and how does it change during last 50 years. Firstly many years before we can say that womans weren't able to live as a human like mans. For example womens couldn't vote for selections in their country. It is such an miserable thing for whole humanity. In addition they were sold like an animal because of marriage by their own parents. This is disgusting. For instance if I were a woman during these years, I would commit suicide like many other women. They were thinking if I marry this man I can't live in this world anymore. Finally they couldn't go school. Because their parents were thinking it is unneccessary for them. I am pretty sure about that most of our grand-grand mothers don't know writing or reading. All of them are dissappointing things for society. But lucklily something has changed. At first in the 1930's they could vote in selections for the first time. This right was given them by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as his own reform. This reform is the first and I think the most important step for women's right. Also that's not the only thing that happened for womens.Secondly their education rights were improved. As I mentioned before they couldn't go school but it has changed and now they can study easily. Between 2008 and 2022 years percentage of women who can read and write was increased nine in a hundred which became 97 percent. In addition their work life has changed. According to Turkish Statistical Institute, the employment rate for womans was approximately 33% in the year 2021. If we compare this whit mans it looks like few. But in fact this is our country's record for women workers. Lastly our laws that protects womans are evolved day by day. If you asked me is that enough for womans right I would say no but we should be happy about what we have right now. Because most of Asian and Arabic countrys still break that simple rules. Also in Saudi Arabia womans weren't able to take driver licance until 2017. This is an another example for differences. We shouldn't forget that we are all human and all of us have same rights. Todays mothers don't need to take this difficultys. For a better world and life enjoyment making everything equal should be our goal. To conclude everything I have mentioned woman's place in society is becaming more important slowly. Anyway thank you so much for listening me. Have a nice day take care and bye!
